2016 Gt base 6spd mans transmission
My gt base gets 27.3 mpg at 80 mph. Rather good for 435 hp. Real happy with the car. Picked my kid up at school last friday (5th grade) and her friends were in amazement. Couple boys took pictures. It was awkward for me and the first time that has ever happened to me. All my prior cars were econo sedans btw.

The new SS def outperforms the 5.0. But the price is what kills it.
I was considering getting a new SS instead of a 5.0, and even went out of state to try and get deals. The "deals" they offered on even base SS's were laughable. The same trim packages for the 5.0 can be had for 8-10k less when both Ford and Chevy dealers have sales going on. To some its worth it. To me its not.

2016 Mustang GT Premium w/ PP
The GT doesn't require premium, and you won't notice a difference unless you want to wring out the very small HP bump at the track. Most here run 87 octane as per the manuals recommendation.

My 2016 GTPP gets 26.5 MPG on long highway trips with ease.
Compare the cost of running regular on the 5.0 vs premium on the EcoBoost. The annual fuel costs end up being nearly identical.

I don't think I can feel any performance difference running premium vs regular. Mpg are simular too. Haven't tried premium on a road trip. But in DD, the mpg's are close enough to be the same.
