After much heavy debate, I felt paying for a exhaust system wouldn't fair much better than the sound I could get with custom work (plan on adding a down pipe down the road) - which ended up sounding better than I thought it would.

I kept the resonator because others I heard made it sound too much like a Coke can. I am very happy with the results.

Couple of questions for you. What size pipes and tips? Any noticeable difference in low end torque now due to loss of back pressure?

if it's not too much trouble, can we get any clips while driving? in cabin and/or outside :)

I was considering doing this too.. Any drone?

Haven't noticed loss of torque. Feels the same, just not a wimpy note anymore and doesn't sound like a Honda like most others who removed the resonator. The pipes are 2.5, not going to change the piping till I decide to do a downpipe and the tips I believe are roughly 3-4.

At idle it has a nice low rumble. It's audible when you accelerate and really sounds amazing at WOT. People who rode with me today were impressed with the sound and couldn't believe the difference.

My girlfriend who could care less about cars in general and rolls her eyes when I talk about it... When she heard it at WOT she simply said, "that sounds badass."

I don't mind taking a few clips inside the cabin. There is zero drone.

I'll try and do the drive by and inside cabin clips today when I wake up.

Hm that's odd lol, I've heard numerous people go back and forth over wether or not these cars lose tq when they lose the back pressure. This is the only thing that has kept me from doing this over a more expensive, and in my opinion, less bad ass sounding exhaust system.

No 4 cycle engine looses torque due to reduced back pressure, that's an old wives tail.

That being said, increasing exhaust tubing diameter can/will decrease the velocity of the gazes flowing through the pipes resulting in less scavaging effect or put another way increase back pressure.

Now with a turbo engine the largest source of restriction in the exhaust is the turbo charger itself. By reducing back pressure down stream of the turbo you increase the pressure drop across the turbo which results in the turbo spooling up to max boost quicker. This can result in some increased torque lower in the rpm range but it will not decrease torque.

In the 30 years I have been driving and modding turbo engines, free flowing exhaust mods have netted little or nothing on an otherwise stock engine, it's not until you have made other changes that increase the air going in that the exhaust mods start to be a benefit.

Thanks Dave! Theoretically, the loss of back pressure should allow the turbo to expel the exhaust gas faster and more efficiently, like a free flowing exhaust system from a company would, increasing power, is what my general thought on it was. Correct or no?

Looking forward to it. I haven't really been blown away by any aftermarket exhausts yet, but this seems decent. Low/smooth/kind of quiet instead of loud/aggressive/buzzy does the trick for me.

Inside cabin. Also, threw in something extra. A Corvette driver with bolt ons wanted to just have a fun ride at the stop light. I didn't push the car because it's New Years Eve and cops around, but even with a mild fun sprint you'll see the Corvette couldn't pass me before I had to turn on my exit.

Hope my videos help those make a decision.

So by deleting mufflers this same note can be achievable? It really does sound better than most of the aftermarket, does it crackle and pop ? Thanks show7ime

I really like the sound out of it. If you don't mind, can you PM what was the cost and also where I can find it?(Website)! Thanks.
Congrats
