I'm also in DFW. I bought the BG Synchromesh for mine and I went with the heavier rear end fluid when I swapped just because I live in Texas. I can't imagine that it would protect any less than OE transmission oil. I figured the extra heat protection couldn't hurt.

Something to consider is that O/P is offering a forum special which covers shipping plus some. They also will send you a discount code for fluids when your ready to replace them again. The discount is specific to the refill fluids. I really like that!

You get the coupon code for refills via email, after you buy the kit.

I might wait a bit before trying the BG. Maybe they could get us some test results with the MT82? Long term effects are my concern. They could sell truckloads.

I talked to an Amsoil retailer and tech line rep today, and neither had any anecdotal info of their Syncromesh working with the MT82, nor even an inkling or concession that it might work.

BG does sell truck loads, a truck just dropped off more. I don't follow? It's been used in the MT82 since the it's been in a Mustang.

I want to keep the car a while so you can understand what I'm after. I really want to try this stuff because the initial responses have been so positive, moreso than the competitors. I understand but We have discussed it at length on several threads. I have posted two of the more recent ones here.

It works better than what Ford uses, and the biggest market for BG is OEM dealers.
To add to this my BG Rep actually just set up a new Ford Dealer in Florida and actually sent him the second thread above to help explain why they needed to stock Syncro Shift II for the Mustang

Thank you for the info! I wasn't trying to be difficult, just cautious. I had an email in to my local BG distributor, but haven't seen a reply yet. My local Ford dealer was useless, they've never even heard of BG! Young pups I guess, BG has been around for many years.
