Car is a 2022 GT 300A car with no options and the MT82-D4 transmission. Bought it new on December 29, 2022. It now has 8800 miles on the odometer.

Symptoms:
Hesitation and lockout when *downshifting* into 2nd gear. Initially, this never used to happen, then it became occasional, but it's now consistent. Even while stopped and idling it will be difficult to go straight from neutral into 2nd. If I go into 1st and then into 2nd, also while stopped and idling, no problem at all. Typically, I run into this when downshifting from 3rd into 2nd. Also, full throttle upshifts from 1st to 2nd above 4000-5000 rpm frequently show lockout. Basically, going into 2nd gear in any manner other than relaxed upshifts is a gamble. Very frustrating.

Based on these symptoms, I believe the 2nd gear synchros are bad. To my recollection, these worsening symptoms occurred after swapping to Motul Multi DCTF. Unless you all tell me it's a 100% waste of time and money, I plan to try BG Synchroshift II 75W-80 or even Red Line MT-90 (75W-90) to see if that helps. I'm thinking the higher viscosity might help the synchros engage faster. Otherwise, it's time to open her up.

Clutch seems an unlikely culprit to me based on the above.

Open to other ideas and suggestions. Want to hear from the experienced hive mind here. I know at least a few of you have forgotten more about transmissions than I'll likely ever know.

Related modification history by mileage:
2503 mi
Installed Steeda Tri-Ax Street short throw shifter.
Installed Steeda shifter base bushing bracket.
4662 mi
Installed Steeda transmission mount bushing insert.
7388 mi
Changed transmission fluid with 2.7 quarts Motul Multi DCTF.

Did you adjust the shifter at all. There’s adjustments on it. Or knob, o ring issue?

This street version doesn't have any adjustments. It's really just a shorter lever.

Check the bushing where the shifter mounts to the body then. Also consider installing a trans mounted shifter whichever way you end up going. It’s keeps the linkage lined up so more accurate shifts and just feels better all around.
