MT82 D3 3rd gear lockout what fixed it for me

7000 rpm shifts, every once in a while I'd get the lockout going into 3rd. Took that clutch assist spring & chucked it. Didn't replaced it with anything thing. Never had that problem again. Worked for me. May not work for you. Added bonus of now I can slip the clutch exactly how I want to. Cheers.

I pulled my spring out about 2 years ago and didn't replace it with anything as well. Every once in awhile I may get a lockout shifting at redline(7500 rpms), but its pretty rare.

Well I notice my pedal wouldn't come all the way back up (still had another 1/2" to go), soooooo because I didn't want any pressure on the slave, $2 spring from the clearance bin at princess auto and I have a little less spring rate pressure than the STEEDA clutch assist spring. Done and done.

Interesting, I never noticed my pedal not coming all the way back up, but I already had my clutch,flywheel, slave, braided line, etc. done. Not sure if any of those pieces is the factor or not.

Yeah I brushed up against it with my foot and noticed, so hence the lighter spring. All good now. But yeah check yours if it's the same.
