Looking for a little feedback from you guys. I blew through 2 sets of the P-Zeros in a crazy fast amount of time on what I consider "normal" driving. And by that I mean back and forth to work and on a few trips with the regular amount of fun pulls here and there. I did 0 burnouts and I only got 2500 miles out of the rears. I think it's safe to say I'm done with Pirelli's. So I guess I'm looking for a tire that will last even 5,000 miles with 645rwhp. I'm pretty much narrowed down to the usual selections you see here of Nitto NT555 G2, Michelin Pilot Sports or Mickey Thompson Street Comps. Thanks in advance

PS -yes I realize tire expectancy is stupid to think about with FI but I'm just looking for a little love from my tires!

I think you will get the most life out of the G2s. They have a 320 tread rating. I have them and like them but I don't think they are quite to par with the MPSS but I don't think they are far behind either for performance. They work well in dry and wet weather. The MT will probably provide you with the best street performance but won't be up to par with the MPSS or G2 for handling performance or wet. However at your power I'm willing to bet the MPSS will be your all around best tires.

Damn. 2,500 miles? Check your alignment (rear toe) or something that can't be right, even with tons of 650rwhp wheel spin. I got 6,500 with track days and a bunch of autox events.

I'd say you need something with a mileage warranty more than anything else.

yea, I was 100% getting an alignment when I mount these new ones anyways but I guess I wasn't that concerned since I read a few different places that people were getting similar mileage out of those crap tires with higher HP. I just went back and checked my records and I actually got 3,100 miles out of them so not quite as bad lol. I drove a lot during some cold days so there probably was a lot more spinning than I realized as well. I think I'm pulling the trigger on the N2's.

Continental ExtremeContact Sport. Dry grip as good as the MPSS, better handling characteristics, MUCH better wet handling and cheaper.

I have 555G2's and regret it.

Why do you regret them tyshenry? I was thinking about those is why I ask.

They have soft sidewalls and a lot of tread squirm. Makes for really unstable handling characteristics. My ultra stiff suspensions really amplifies the problem as well.

I have the G2s on my car and i really like them over the Pzeros . I don't track my car but I do like to play with it on the back roads . They've only been on the car for two weeks but I've given them a few good workouts and i would definitely buy them again.

i have PSS's. I have about 9k miles on them so far and they look brand new. I'm about to rotate since I run 275's square. I fully expect 30k+ out of them at this rate.

That's good to hear. I will be grabbing a set of them today. That's pretty much all I'm going to be using the car for so hopefully it works out for me too.

Well, I can't see tire life or traction being worse than the p-zero's with any other tire lol I'm hoping for just a little more life over crazy stickiness. Traction just is what it is I guess with FI. I'm not trying to hook up from dead stops at every red light so all I need is a little traction with 3rd and 4th gear pulls.

I don't think you'll hook well in 1-2 getting hard on it unless you go drag radials or similar. PSS's are better in every way than G2's other than cost. The new conti sport is supposed to be just as good as the PSS. I'd go with the best tire you can afford. PSS or the new Extreme Contact Sport would be my pick.
