Any input on which is better the MICKEY THOMPSON 305/35R19 ET STREET S/S DRAG RADIAL or the NITTO 305/35/19 NT05R DRAG RADIAL? Any other 19" DOT Drag Radial?

Both good tires, my friend runs the NT05R and loves them. You can't lose, I would go with whichever one you can get the better deal on.

i would never use a 19" drag radial. there is no point. you just dont have enough side wall. anything over 17" just isnt going to give you the same results.

MT dr dont seem to have as much roidnoise as the 05r but also dont last as long.
For me DR are worth .2-.3 in the first 60' alone.

mickeys, one of my friends used the nittos on his cam/bolt on's corvette... hooked like **** till the tires got some heat in them... mickeys hook no matter what....
i run 15" mickey thompson R's on my twin turbo'd vette and i can dead hook in temps as low as the 30's in 2nd gear....
i also have a 18" setup for the car that i use the et street II, they also dead hook 2nd just not in as low of a temp...

with the mustang i have a whipple and use the 19" S/S tires. they dead hook 1st gear without an issue.

I agree but my issue is finding a 17" wheel that will fit a performance pack car that will not cost a fortune.

what is done to your car? a 19" drag radial can hook more then you think...

Stock motor, full suspension mods. Vertical links, bars and links, springs, toe arms, lower control arm and knuckle bearings, front k-brace, differential and cradle lockout.

My 60' times average around 2.5 seconds.

NT05rs will last a little longer and handle better around the corners. But if your looking for maximum traction, the MT is better.
