so my mt82 finally Grenaded 4th gear. I had an McLeod RXT clutch and Mickey Thompson drag radials with 3.31 gears . Now I see Ben Calimer recently released billet internals for the my-82. Does anyone have any experience with one? Or would a 6060 swap still be better? I like the gearing of the mt82.My car is supercharged with a Paxton making 770 whp. Also I see good prices at a place called Astro performance warehouse. Does any one have any experience with them?

Thanks in advance

I went TR6060 route because at the time that was the best ben could offer. The 3.31's would have to go away if you go with the Tremec. I would try a set of the new gears.

Yeah, I just spoke with Ben Calimer and he said the buillet internals should be good for 900lbs of torque. Also I wouldn’t have to change the RXT clutch I currently have in it. This is the first time in three years 16k miles I had a problem with the trans. I forgot to ask him about his tr6060 but I’m sure it’s a lot more money.

Well guys I just spoke with Astro performance warehouse. Very smart guy took the time and answered all my questions about the tr6060. Something I wasn’t even looking at but now seems more feasible and that might be an option for myself please give me some feedback on the place or trans recommendations!!

I went wit the GeForce gears Ben Calimer offers so I wouldn’t have to change out anything else. So if you already have a driveshaft, shifter and what not you can reuse it and not have to buy new stuff for whichever setup you end up running. I have 0 track time with the setup so far but I do have a couple highway pulls and so far so good. Ben was good to deal with he answer everything and kept me up to speed with what was going on.
