Does anyone have pictures where they mounted the MSD 2-step under hood? Also, blue/white wire from MSD gets connected to which clutch wire?

I see the clutch has two different switches, one midway and one switch all the way at the very top of the assembly. I'm guessing one switch is for cruise control and one switch is for clutch position? Need to figure out which switch and which wire to connect the MSD activation wire to :frusty::frusty:

Blue/white from MSD is for 12V source. So you're saying blue/orange on clutch switch is 12v when the clutch is disengaged. Is the blue/orange wire on the first clutch switch or the clutch switch on the very top of the pedal assembly?

I figured it out. I used ground activation on the clutch just like the 11-14 cars (not 12v activation as mentioned above). It works perfectly and sounds awesome. Just need to tidy a few things up and then hit the track this weekend for some final passes before winter.

Wow basic yet effective! Love it! What rpm are you launching at? Assuming your 2 stepping snd dumping the clutch

I've been launching 4,200 - 4,500 RPMs. I'll be trying the 2-step for the first time this weekend. I have the 2-step set for 4,200 RPMs to begin testing: when I press on the clutch pedal and disengage the clutch, the 2-step activates and you can press the accelerator all the way to the floor and it will hold the set RPM until you sidestep the clutch and then it returns to full throttle. The 2-step just makes you more consistent and lightens your workload by launching at the RPM you set without trying to feather the throttle, look at the tach, and watch the tree all at the same time ;)

Sidestepping your clutch isnt really a great idea. You should preload your trans instead. Youd get better 60s and not beat your drivetrain stupid. Just a suggestion. Glad to see the two step works that i was told doesnt work on the s550. Half a tank of gas is weight reduction while not permanent its not full weight, deleting the cats and adding a new exhaust lowers weight too.

How do you "preload" your trans?

You should feel just a slight tug on the rear diff if you drop the clutch quick and pushing back down so it doesnt lurch forward. You do that a few times til you find that, then back off that spot just a hair once you know where that spot is you wont have to do that. Its enough to engage the trans, driveaxle and rear diff but the car doesnt pull forward . It reduces shockload and cuts down time.
