I'm looking on Late Model Restoration right now and see it listed for $1,099.99 w/ free shipping.

From the videos...I think this is the best sounding catback out there. I think people just need to understand that they're all going to drone when you remove the factory resonator. Some worse than others sure. But I...personally...don't want to spend extra money to re-add aftermarket resonators. Maybe if the systems was like $699 to begin with.

Regardless I have my eye on this system.

I installed this last night and gotta tell you it is one of 'THE' best sounding exhausts if you love a deeper tone. I will also mention it is quiet loud. More on the outside than the inside. A good thing I've also noticed, it isn't crazy loud if you are cruising in lower RPM's but will start screaming once you rev it up! Exactly how I wanted to be. Exhaust presence is there at all times.

Drone: so far I've noticed it in 1500-2000 RPM's when cruising in 6th Gear under load. But it isn't too bad. I need to have more driving time to fully notice if there is any in other rpm range.

Installation: Was not too bad. One of the pipes got slightly bent where you slip on your mufflers. But I fixed by putting an oil filter in the hole and slightly hammering it to make the opening more round so the muffler could slide in. i still wasn't able to completely line up the muffler tips to where I want them to be, but i'll play around with it a little this weekend and see if I can.

Overall:
- It sounds fantastic!
- Not too much drone. It is more loud outside of the car compared to inside of the car.
- It is a deep sounding exhaust and has a nice burble to it when you decelerate/downshift rev match.
- It is not one bit raspy.

It is raining like crazy here and I can't really get a video but I'll post a video review tomorrow or Saturday if weather permits!

Thanks for the review! Really debating between this and SW h pipe. Wonder which one sounds deeper..

I wonder what mufflers MRT uses...I would love to source those and then just have my local shop fabricate the piping for way less money...

Very slightly. It's a combination of exhaust noise and drone, I know it's drone because of the buzzing you hear instead of the exhaust tone. J pipes will be installed on Wednesday or Thursday this week. Overall very happy with the exhaust though.
Sounds like it will be tolerable on long road trips. Thanks!

Yep that price ran me off... plus I was wanting it black for an extra 100 bucks. I ordered the Black Gibson on Wednesday. Got it for 745 shipped. Hell with the extra money I got my JLT cold air and tuner. I would have loved to have the MRT but it killed the budget. Watching Jay's video from JLT on the Gibson sold me. Love the sound and I think we all know it's not going to pick up more than maybe 5 to 10 hp on any catback. IMO these cars need 3 inch especially if you plan to supercharge it. I am going to have my brother make 3 inch pipes from the cats to the Gibson. Then do the headers down the road. Should workout pretty good.

MRT lost me with the price increase. Prices should go down with time, not up.

I'm hoping to have the ARH H-pipe catback installed tonight. If I do, i'll provide feedback as it'll likely be a viable alternative to MRT's system.

You install that ARH H Pipe? Im sticking with an H Pipe because the X pipes are so raspy. MRT or ARH H Pipe are the options.

Totally agree with what everyone is saying about the price increase. That was just pure greed on the part of MRT. The exhaust was already expensive before the increase! The profit margin on these things as to be through the roof.

MRT was my first choice, but since I don't actually have my car yet, I can search a little more.:D

If you really think that, then don't buy FRPP or Borlas or Corsa lol. MRT pricing is on par with those manufacturers (I'm basing that off of quality and material used to create the exhaust), and just like them, the vendors that sell their products are going to offer discounts. Did you pay MSRP for your car? Probably not...just the same as you won't pay MSRP for an MRT exhaust setup.

People are freaking out because they 'upped' their MSRP price to be the same as the other exhaust manufacturers with the same quality of product. If you asked a vendor, it would probably still cost what it was listed for a month ago.
