MPG after Supercharger ?

I fully expected crap mileage once the SC was on. So it was no surprise and no concern of mine. Just praying to sweet baby Jesus that these gas prices stay where they are

A quick side question for the 6 speed manual guys, with the Whipple tune... Is your 6th gear Compleeeetely useless until you hit like 70MPH? I know 6th gear is always pretty useless, and gives no "power". But my 6th gear is literally un-usable unless I am at least doing 70 MPH and on flat land. The slightest of slope and I must down shift to 5th. Otherwise the car bogs down and has the sound/feel of when you're "flooding" it. It's not a complaint, as I rarely am on the highway, but I am curious if it's just me. It feels like maybe they completely pulled timing or something. Kinda sucks when you're in that in-between speed, like 60 or so. Where 5th gear is hovering close to 3k RPM... but theres noway I can get into 6th or the car bogs down terribly.

weird, I thought the instant torque of a supercharger would make 6th less useless.

I get 9 on corn and 12 on 93 with WOT/leaving it in lower gears/doing stupid things and having fun. Babying it is 12 on corn and 18 on 93...somewhere around there. I don't shift into 6th until 55MPH and I can accelerate just fine at WOT.

I can go up slight hills in 6th at 50 mph. You just got to feather it so there's no boost. Mine will cruse around just fine at 60 mph in 6th, with a 3.73 rear. I get almost 16 mpg, dd in the city/rural road to work.

Unless I am going down hill, nowayyy I can use 6th gear at 50 with my 373's. Or even 60 MPH.

I am still on the P Zeros. Are you on a taller tire? Flat land no acceleration it will do 45 in 6th.

I better put mine in the shop then before I do anything then. Averaging 13.5 on a stock auto with 3.15 gears. And I am not beating on it. Some of these mileages listed I would expect from a Ford Focus, not a Mustang. Either that or there is a HUGE variation in the trip computer's in these cars. I will test it myself next fillup to see if that can be it.

On 93, I averaged 19 combined before the Whipple, and 15-16 average now on 93 with an occasional can of Octanium when the air is warmer.

I have to check. I will try that later. I never leave that gauge up, and keep forgetting I have it. Only had the car for a couple of weeks. I will check for sure though. Thanks!

Still on stock P-zeros. I can coast in 6th at 50 mph... but hitting the gas will do nothing until I shift to 5th.

Well I can accelerate at those speeds but I also have lighter wheels, lighter DS, and lighter flywheel/clutch.
