Honestly, corvette shoppers wouldn't cross shop mustangs (save for the SVT). What we're expecting from an entry level sports coupe that seats 4? Sure, they played it alittle safe with the front end, but the profile, rear, and interior? A major design shift...night and day.I'll be putting a Stingray in my garage.
After waiting to see this, I am underwhelmed by everything. It's all a definite improvement on the S197 but they didn't impress with me with the design enough from an aesthetic standpoint to get me to keep a mustang in the stable. My S197 will be given a new home and a C7 will take its place. I'd have my S197 over a C6 vette, but the C7 is a world class vehicle in every respect.
This S550 looks very nice, but it's not what it could have been. They had an opportunity to really do something special and for me they didn't reach far enough. I'm not impressed. It looks more like a refresh than a redesign. The sn95 to s197 was drsstic in a very good way. This has way too much 2013 mustang in it. They didn't go to the limits, they played it safe. It's a confusing mix of refined elegance and muscle. It isn't working for me at all.
disagree with you on that. I also waited on the reveal and had hoped that it would be a better design in the front. I have been eyeing the C7 but being a previous mustang owner and fan would have preferred a new mustang over the 2-seater C7. After the reveal, I am going with the C7. Very disappointed with the front design of the 2015.Honestly, corvette shoppers wouldn't cross shop mustangs (save for the SVT). What we're expecting from an entry level sports coupe that seats 4? Sent from space using carrier pigeons. Any typos can be blamed on them.
What criteria do you use to cross shop a two seater sports car in a 65k bracket and a four seater sports coupe in the sub-25k range?disagree with you on that.
