Monitoring Transmission Temp

I know the nGauge can read the transmission temperature out of the ECU but I was wondering if anyone had managed to locate and read the proper PID using a OBDII reader.

PID 1674 according to http://www.paladinmicro.com/documents/200304PIDs.pdf

That's old of course, but maybe still the same.

I contacted BlueDriver a couple of days ago and was told their product does NOT support real time trans oil temp monitoring...I too would be interested in a lower cost option as compared with the ngauge.
