Things like the Umbrella are also being sold by Ford dealers in the UK now.

In a moment of madness, I've just spent out (a fortune) on the spare tyre kit, even though I told myself that I'd wait until the car was nearly here rather than have stuff sitting around taking up space at home.

So, just taken delivery of a package from CJ Pony containing the Sto n Sho number plate bracket, JLT catch can and Redline hood lifts.

This was a smaller order than I originally intended as I wanted to see exactly what the score was with the shipping options. I opted for the International Standard Parcel option which claimed nothing to pay on delivery and didn't mention duty or taxes, and that's exactly the way it went. The one notable thing was that although it advised that this service could take up to 30 days it took just 8 days door to door.

So very quick, well packaged and as described.

Now you just need to hope that the dealer doesn't drill your front bumper

Ain't that the truth. Already spoken to them about it but that won't be enough. Will be revisiting it nearer the time. I appreciate they may not be up for fitting the Sto n Sho but I'm hoping they'll use tape if asked.

Found a place that does "bumper plugs" but I'd really hate it if it came to that.

Anyone thought about switching the bulb DRL for LED P13W, at least you might get a better colour light than the dull yellow.

Just wondering if you guys over in the UK are doing any 'mods' for the DRL's and/or tail lights.

Definitely thought about that. One of the guys on the Europe forum bought LEDs but they didn't fit through the hole in the light fitting so was maybe going to wait on the car first. I have bought LEDs for the side/parking lights however.

Probably best to wait. Still while wating for cars to leave Baltimore I can't help shopping like the rest of you.

It may not be that simple. If the SJB (Smart Junction Box) is anything like the S197, then LEDs don't present enough of a load for the SJB to send power to them consistently (unlike a'normal' incandescent bulb).

As such, you may find that they only work sometimes, or don't illuminate at all. You can resolve with further resistance, but then you have heat to deal with (or leave original bulb and wire LED in series).

The French guy also did the side lights and his worked fine. If I couldn't get the DRLs LED'd up then it wouldn't be a crisis as i'd just drive with the side lights on. That way I get the rear on too.

I'll be removing the stock DRLs which are the most pathetic bulbs you will ever see in your life (circled in red) and replace them with LED light strips which will look far better.

Tail lamps are staying stock. In the metal they look fantastic.
