Can't the plates be just stuck on with that tape.
I suppose it depends on what marks/paint damage is left on the bumper when you take the mount off. Suspect it'll come clean off with a couple of screws?

If the mount is painted body-colour it might not look too bad and also allow a 'mini-bumper' in case of any minor parking misjudgements.

I imagine the plates will be stuck on with tape but there'll be a mount screwed to the front of the car between the upper and lower grill. I'm not crazy about that either as I have a shorter number and could therefore have a narrower plate (no legal size for the actual plate apparently (c) Wikipedia).

Over on BigWormGraphix there are pics of the Sto-n-Sho where the owners have used bungs of some description to fill the bumper holes however. Depends how picky each owner is I guess.

DVLA says:-

Characters must be 79mm tall
Characters (except the number 1 or letter I) must be 50mm wide
The character stroke (the thickness of the black print) must be 14mm
The space between characters must be 11mm
The space between the age identifier and the random letters must be 33mm
The margins at the top, bottom and side of the plate must be 11mm
Vertical space between the age identifier and the random numbers must be 19mm

So, yes, shorter number can be a shorter plate.

For me the first one is to get the Pony puddle lights from the mirrors and doors - the ones that project the blue pony picture onto the ground

Standard fitment I understood.
To elaborate its only standard on the U.S premium pack, not the Performance pack that the Uk models will come with.

True it says it on the Ford site - but was told for sure it wouldn't be when my order was confirmed on phone.

Hey ho - I guess well find out when the beat arrives - not a big mod anyway.

Agrereed - I don't thin anyone really know what features etc were getting exactly. All I was told as above we couldn't have the reccaros and the u.s style bonnet vents as they didn't meet EU standards
