I think those clear lenses will look good tinted black or red

The factory tail lights are LED, so you won't be able to remove a bulb and swap it out

I'm sure there will be U.S. members who want the EU model tail lights FWIW

Yeah, don't know how those guys do the taillight mods and haven't asked since I won't get my car for a good few months yet.

Do you happen to know the differences in how the Euro taillights work compared to yours, since we don't get the sequential lights either, so do you think it's just a case of swapping the units or will there be some other electrical gubbins that will need to be added/modified in order to get them to work on the other car?

Lots planned for mine:

Rear lights (although I think the clear lenses work better with the darker colours and as mine is DIB I might leave them or maybe just tint them) fyi:

Ford Racing Sport cat-back exhaust and maybe ARH headers depending on if they change that sound

Front indicator bulbs to clear along with activating the "gill" DRLs also black out the indicators in the headlights

Racemesh grille in black

Eibach Sport springs/rollbar to lower by an inch

HRE Flowform FF01 20" wheels in silver

Airaid CAI

Door mirrors swapped for the Yank versions if that's possible and also swap the orange reflectors at the rear for the red Yank ones along with changing the rear deck panel from that nasty faux gas cap to either just the plain GT lettering or maybe a ROUSH one ready for the supercharger! So it should look like this:

and go like this:

No affiliation to any company/person in those links BTW!
I'm excited as hell to see your Mustang already after that epic list!

I know it's early days but thinking about mods already :) my first few will no doubt be cosmetic; tail lights, boot logo, grills etc.
The clear tail lights - although they don't look too bad, in some photos they do look pretty naff compared with the red ones.
Anyone happen to know the UK legislation rules for the colour of the plastic? I had a quick look online but I couldnt see anything about the plastic colour, only about the colour of the bulb light itself. So assuming we can fit the red tail lights as the indicator light will still show through orange?
I've ordered an Ingot and am looking for US tail light swap possibility but as you might have noticed on the forum connectors are not the same in US and EU what will make the swap a bit more complicated...
Anyway I think the Ingot with EU tail lights might still be an acceptable setup...wait and see..

I have to say, those pics confirm my feelings, I really do prefer the uk spec rear lights. On this coulor I think they look particularly good. I have done for comp orange and I am going for an Orange/Black theme, so not really sure but may just use a black tint on them

Clear rear lights i'm OK with, though as with others I may consider a darker tint on them.
The faux gas cap may need to go but will decide on that when I see it (kinda prefer the pony on the back).
Quite like a light window tint but there's not much behind the B pillar. Bet the rear window is a pain in the @ss to get to.
The exhaust is again something that would have to be evaluated on delivery. I've no real interest in performance gains or anything else that might impact the potentially horrendous insurance premiums.

Yes, I am with you on the faux gas cap. What sort of word is FAUX anyway? Why dont they just say FAKE.
I want a Mustang on the front and a GT badge on the back. That GT badge is one change I intend making.

I'm always scared that any mods can impact the insurance. This is the first brand new car I've bought so I don't have the excuse of "it was like that when I bought it, I assumed it was standard".

Could do with doing something about the orange reflectors. Also, the plasitic splitters, with maybe a wrap (if possible)?

Mods will probably happen in following order:-
ARH catback,
New rims (If i can get them to fit, 18x12 Welds with 345/35 18 tires!!!),
lowering springs,
Cold air intake & tune,
Half shafts,
Drive shaft,
Various upgrades to reduce wheel hop,
A few years down the line some sort of FI (probably some TTs),
.
.
.
list just keeps getting longer!

Not really planning on doing mods on mine.I will wait to hear the exaust tone for myself. If I do decide to change it, it would have to be the Borla s type catback, but I would keep the stock exaust just in case I decided to refit.

Thinking the same tbh for the GT, stock exhaust tone sounds ok in most videos (wee bit quiet for a V8) Not wanting in your face loud so probably Ford Racing Borla touring will be my exhaust of choice.

Like the idea of the Roush active exhaust, but think that means quad tip and changing rear valance etc??
