I know it's early days but thinking about mods already :) my first few will no doubt be cosmetic; tail lights, boot logo, grills etc.
The clear tail lights - although they don't look too bad, in some photos they do look pretty naff compared with the red ones.
Anyone happen to know the UK legislation rules for the colour of the plastic? I had a quick look online but I couldnt see anything about the plastic colour, only about the colour of the bulb light itself. So assuming we can fit the red tail lights as the indicator light will still show through orange?

I think it will be the same for me cosmetics etc, the clear lights are growing on me however if I can get the red lights will defo be one of my to do list. I think the upgraded turbo kit from maperformance is going to be the main one for me to do.

The window sticker for the first RHD shows it has a "Thatcham Security System" and an "Enhanced Security package" so you might find that is "good enough" for the first half of your plans! The UK price list doesn't mention any security items, though - so we will probably have to wait a while to discover what we are getting as standard.

I know it will have standard security but there are a number of videos online now of an RS focus with push start being broken into and stolen within 51 seconds.

Not so good :(

Presumably we're talking about keyless entry systems and OBCs being hacked here? Are there security systems available that can prevent this and are affordable?

I'll only be fitting a tracker if my insurance requires it. Frankly if some s/b goes hooning in my car I don't know that I want it back ;-)

Yeah usual break windows and programme a new key and drive off.

Clifford 650 is another layer of protection with a dual circuit immobiliser. I'm sure toad etc all can do it as well.

Clifford is around ÂŁ400 fitted. Comes with proximity alert, two fobs, and dual circuit immobiliser. Just piece of mind really.

I wouldn't want a car back if it's been stolen either,
I'm sure there are devices out there that can disable or lock the OBD port,

Just read a hand full of articles online about keyless entry car theft...apparently small amplifiers are used to fool the car in to thinking the key fob is closer that it actually is, meaning anyone with such a device can just open the door & start the engine?!
That's quite scary. If it is that easy, insurance companies will have a field day.
Keeping your keys in the freezer seems to work though lol.
Glad I learnt about this now.

Rear lights - Going to put a dark tint on these so they blend in nicely with the rear black panel.
Front tri bar lights - Get these reactivated somehow whether it be software or wiring.
Strut brace - Nothing mentions we are getting this as standard so if we don't then I will be adding one.
Exhaust - Standard one is just not loud enough for the V8 lol. I will be replacing it with a Ford Racing Borla Sports cat back exhaust.

That will do for when I get the car :)

Are our cars gonna disappear like other fast Ford's? I suspect they'll probably will.

A few I have in mind are:

Red tail light tints
GT Grill (Upper and lower)
All round window tint
Magnaflow Street series exhaust
Lower it by an inch

Rear 'GT filler cap' swapped out for Pony emblem with red, white and blue tribar. Parts already supplied by CJ Pony parts. Hope I get the rest of the car to go with it!

Lots planned for mine:

Rear lights (although I think the clear lenses work better with the darker colours and as mine is DIB I might leave them or maybe just tint them) fyi: [ame]

Ford Racing Sport cat-back exhaust [ame] and maybe ARH headers depending on if they change that sound

Front indicator bulbs to clear along with activating the "gill" DRLs [ame] also black out the indicators in the headlights

Racemesh grille in black [ame]

Eibach Sport springs/rollbar to lower by an inch

HRE Flowform FF01 20" wheels in silver

Airaid CAI [ame]

Door mirrors swapped for the Yank versions if that's possible and also swap the orange reflectors at the rear for the red Yank ones along with changing the rear deck panel from that nasty faux gas cap to either just the plain GT lettering or maybe a ROUSH one ready for the supercharger! So it should look like this:

and go like this: [ame]

No affiliation to any company/person in those links BTW!
