Couple all nighters is all you need 😁
Nah, I'm going to go slow and make it last the winter. Painting wont be an issue thanks to heater in the garage, keeps it around 60 when it's in the 30's outside. Also, this thing is crazy! There are some pieces that end up being completely hidden.

Assembled some parts of a beautiful Rolls Royce. Calls for all the same color so will pant when it starts calling for a different one. Crazy the amount of pieces just in these 2 assemblies.

Wow thanks again! Instructions call for all of it to be semi gloss black but this would be way better! Won’t even see the engine when displayed how I think I want it but I’m all about those cool points. Also, it’ll make my OCD happy

Not yet. Usually buy the mini aerosols with the colors I need. Not sure what if anything I’ll be doing after this one too. Little bit of a calm winter before next year when I get my own business rolling. And a bunch of life changes I’m sure. Always wanted an airbrush as a kid though!

Just curious, wanted to know what you were using. It helps me to tailor my explanations/ suggestions for hints.

Use both myself, the truck body was sprayed with those. Detail parts air brushed. Run the thing off a 2 stage, 80gal compressor, just dial the pressure back.

Only saying that cause the air brush folks get all crazy with BS that is not needed. For under a 100 bucks, some one can get an air brush that will be a good fill in.

Anyway keep up the good work, have not built planes for many years. The kit you are working on is a nice one, has some nice detail parts, seeing the engine.

Got in to trains for a long while, but model building no matter what is being built is a great hobby.

If nothing else it keeps my hands busy. Also nice to take a break from video games. Tonight will be painting with a brush. Probably not much more actual assembly. My bare metal paint should be in today as well so I’ll be setting up my improvised cardboard paint booth again and painting fuselage and wings tomorrow maybe. Trying not to rush but excited lol

Have not built any model cars in awhile .did alot of Rc body's for away . It's good way to learn air bush Techniques. Past years been doing custom jobs on 1/6 figures.

Painted some stuff and assembled the Merlin engine. Came out pretty good I think. Didn’t go too crazy with the tiny things. Maybe I would if I had a magnifying glass light thing but not there yet either. Next up is the cockpit witch will be brand new to me. Looks like an actual harness to make and stuff. Should be exciting.

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
Looks sweet. Getting those straps painted really helps with the authentic look. I know you can remove the cowl to show off this engine, which I’m sure you will do from time to time to see your details. I’m always learning how things were made and how they function when model building. This P-51 is all engine and gas tanks with some amazing fire power.
