It was a great experience.

I LOVE that scoop on the bottom so much haha! As a kid this plane was always meh to me because the Corsair had the unique wings and the P-38 Lightning the unique fuselage. I'm REALLY digging in as an adult right now.

I think that's a Douglass Dauntless Dive Bomber behind it. Some P51 pics to the left as well.

Unsure when or if there will be a next one at least soon after this one. I may do another mustang (car) that will be at the same level of this plane for my display but we'll see. I'm going to be focusing on some other life things to change up some stuff and that will monopolize my time for sure. If I do go for more plane models in the future I think the next 5 would be:

1. A10 Warthog
2. F4 Phantom
3. P-38 Lightning
4. SR71 Blackbird (if it even exists)
5. Messerschmitt Me 262

But honestly I think the next military model would be a tank. Obviously Sherman but I've always loved the M60 too. Saw an M60 next to an Abrams (perk of my job) in some army motorpool I was working at like Ft. Leonard Wood or something and it was crazy how different they were. Obviously the Abrams would whoop an army of M60's but that thing was solid and huge and if I didn't know any better, I would take that M60 over the Abrams easy. Abrams is like the mid weight MMA fighter that can do things outside it's weight class where the M60 is the big heavyweight bruiser. Looks like it's designed to drive through anything it can't kill with tank rounds.

Not a lot to show for the focus and time spent tonight. Totally enjoying the journey and not trying to finish overnight anyway. Fine detail painting of instrument panel and seat. Seat too wet still for decal and assembly so that will be tomorrow night maybe. Wife let me be all night so I’ll beat her to asking for attention tomorrow, that marriage thing you know haha!
