Personally I don't think you'll hurt it driving without "tuning" for the headers. Most tunes for headers only make changes to turn off the CEL and some will make an adjustment to compensate for the O2 sensor moving back some. FWIW I spoke to a reputable tuner all of you guys are familiar with about this recently since I am doing the same thing. Just my .02.
I'm kind of with you on this. Car runs fine now but obviously needs some tuning for the CEL and to prevent the limp mode (there was obviously something the computer thought needed protection). It's a project car for me so I'll park it in the corner till I can talk to some folks about AFR and it's relationship to the O2 sensors. Think I'll start with Beef and Lund.

Sounds wise. Let me know what you learn.

I can do that. Maybe save you a little frustration.

It's not going to hurt anything, but it's a silly problem to have, considering the fix is so simple.

Agreed, but at the time only a couple folks outside of roush can tune a 15 with an aftermarket throttle body, and at last check they won't remote tune. Accordingly, unless you are near their dyno shop, you can't get a tune for a TVS and headers (i.e., a tune other than roush). I know there is a car out there with such a tune, but it was done onsite with stuff that is not publicly available.

Simple for some. I feel comfortable installing headers and exhaust, even the SC doesn't seem too daunting. What is the ratio of good tuners to mechanics? 100,000 to 1?

Haven't been to WOT because I knew I didn't have a tune. Also learned a little while ago that as of right now the Roush CAL is not available at this time so no tune for me. Is your VMP available? I think Lund is waiting for the ngauge to really dig into the Roush. So much for simple:shrug:

Pretty much. I'm hearing it's drivable if you stay out of it. Guess I'll wait for Brenspeed or Lund to get the keys to the proprietary kingdom.
