VMP says they're really close. The problem is the electronic throttle control when you go to an aftermarket throttle body. Apparently Livernois and Lund can tune them, but they will not do so remotely.

I have heard that Ford is being selective with the 15 strategy, so it's taking aftermarket a little bit longer to catch up. Obviously this isn't a problem for Roush since they partnered with Ford racing.

Guard - you have the stage 1 Roush cal, right? There shouldn't be a reason you couldn't run that. I know there are guys out there doing it (w/ LTs). Although if I had a knock or was scared it knocked I'd be concerned too. Did you have good gas in the car?

Yea, shouldn't have said I didn't have a tune. The base Roush is on the car. Lund has tuned a Roush with LT's but not something they'll release to the public at this point is my understanding. Brenspeed will have it as soon as they get a chance to put LT's on their 2015 shop car (but it's race season, so you know how that works). Gas was 93 and fairly new, less than a month old. I'm going to go ahead and order a driveshaft, half shafts, shifter and clutch so there's a chance it would need to sit for those upgrades for a week or so anyway.

Now that you mention it my problem could have been related to the electronic throttle control. If the car truly went into limp mode I'm not sure it would have let me set the cruise and maintain 70mph on the freeway. Throttle was there, just very slow response. Still want someone with a lot more knowledge about this than me to look at the AFR stuff and do some tuning.

Depends on how the limp mode is implemented on this car. On my past cars I could not enable Cruise Control, but maintaining highway speeds (70+ miles an hour) was not a problem. However, the slow acceleration up to cruising speeds was a symptom of the car being in limp mode.

Guard, you aren't very far from us. Why not let us just go pick her up, dyno tune her using our proprietary tuning software for your existing mods, and then have us drop her off to you? All transportation would be done using our covered trailer, so that she is nice and safe the whole time. We can even install the misc. parts that you are waiting on for you while she is here!

When you get her back to you she is better than the day that she rolled off the showroom floor!

Very tempting, especially with your reputation. I'll be in touch via PM if the original installer/tuner has delivery issues. Sounds like you're confident you can tune for the Roush and the headers which others are having doubts with or just are not quite ready. Thanks for the reply!

WOW^^^^^ great service
Thank you, but honestly that same level of service is for all of you guys out there. We will go to all of the contiguous 48 states. Even if your late model performance vehicle happens to not be a S550, but its a Raptor or new bow tie P/U for example we still offer transportation services!

Well, whenever you are ready just let me know and I will get you in touch with the powers that be as that is far above my pay grade lol
