Hi all.

Fitted the Mishimoto cold air intake last week. I gotta say, the deep throated roar is satisfying, and I can attest to a more responsive, more torque-y 2017 as a result. Took it up mt Cooth-ta and out through gap creek and in the 3000+ rev range as much as possible. It made a noticeable difference under foot, and a noticeable difference in the sound department.

I now know why people delete the sound tube assembly.... But I'm keeping mine in place.

Oh yeah, fitted the GT350R steering wheel as well. I like very much.

Congrats :)

I have the Injen CAI installed and at the time I had the full sound tube assembly taken out. In fact with the Injen you had to have the sound tube blanked off - but I bought a little kit from Boomba racing that enabled deletion of the sound tube at the firewall.

The difference (volume and sound frequency) in the cabin is totally (subjectively) worth it, as is removing the worlds ugliest 1.2kg of bizarrely engineered plastic. Taking it out cleans up the engine bay as well. But just my two cents worth.

Did exactly the same here..... except I just fitted a blanking grommet from supercheapauto on the firewall.:thumbsup:

Outstanding, Don. Don't suppose you recall the size of the blanking grommet do you?
