Mishimoto coolant tank

Hi all, has anyone used this coolant tank in their Mustang, and if so, did you use the overflow tube or block it off? i ask as our factory tanks do not have an overflow.

Yes Anthony, I put one in my 2018 and to tell the truth I didn't question it. I have not lost any coolant or overheated so appears ok to leave in place as Mishi designed it.

Reviving this thread, because I am considering taking this nipple out and installing a plug in its place……anyone ever actually try this?

Tube fitted in my Mishimoto tank.. Never considered blocking it off.
