Mirror Tap - Safe & Smart question

Alright y’all, I’ve been trying to find multiple threads on this and so far I’ve read two things that are conflicting, and I’m hoping to finally just get the correct answer.

I have a 2021 GT Premium with the Safe & Smart package. I plan on mirror tapping a Uniden R7.

One thread said plug the negative wire of the mirror tap into the blue/black wire spot. Then the positive into the brown/yellow wire spot.

The other thread said to plug the positive mirror tap wire in with the white wire spot (very bottom), and then the negative into the black wire spot (third up from white wire).

I’ll attach pictures that were shown in both of the threads. Any help would be much appreciated!

Yeah, that’s about the only video I’ve seen. But the wires he taps into are different than another thread I saw, so not sure which one it actually is lol. I’ll just do the video one

Have only found one video so far (the one posted in this thread) about tapping into a smart & safe package. Plenty of videos out there showing how to with normal mirrors though

The plug that I'm tapped into, I have the red tap wire going into the white plug wire, and the black tap wire going to the black plug wire. If that makes any sense.
