The Michelins are the best tire I've ever driven on. Even with the blower, traction is still pretty good with the 315s.

Wow. It's about $120 for a decent tire for my premium ecoboost 18" stock wheels. Off brand with a 50k mile warranty for $95. These mustangs can go from economical car to a car that costs a small fortune to maintain and drive depending on the options.

yea the ecoboost 18" tires are only 235 wide. Much cheaper than 275/285s :D

Tire prices are all over the place really. If you have 19" rims, expect to pay a little more, and if you want wider tires, expect to pay quite a bit more.

I'm on 19" rims right now, but I'm swapping to 20" by the time the tires wear out.

Just for an example, where I got my setup from CJPony Parts, you can get 275 Nitto 555s for $925 for a set of 4 275s shipped. You can get a good tire for $200-250.

They also have a 255/275 staggered 555 set for $758. It's for 20's but you get the idea. You can get a pretty good deal under $200/tire when buying a full set though.

PSS are great tires, but expect $75-100 per tire over a comparable same size tire.

Nittos are no-good in the rain. But I bet they are much better than the P zeros...

I'm running the PSS (285/40/19) on the rear and love them. This is the third car I've had them on and so long as I can afford them, I'll have nothing else.

I haven't tried them, but on the a few of the Corvette forums I lurk on they seem to love them on road courses when they aren't running a dedicated wheel setup.

Lol I know, but I only have a few k on these rear tires so I want them to last until the new year I think. Then maybe just go big and get wheels and tires instead of just tires. If i get just new tires that will delay any big mods for about a year. Well except for a new shifter and maybe some chassis mods.

I want to do new wheels and tires at the end of a tire life cycle.

I run them in South FL, where it rains all summer and floods, and no complaints. There are many models of Nittos. The 555s aren't bad in wet weather, maybe the NT05s or Invos are worse in wet.

Anyone know what the largest tires you could fit in the PP wheels ?
I was thinking 255/40/19 F and 285/40/19 R just wasnt sure if it would work.

Looking at high performance tires with good wet traction seems like these Michelin would work.
I herd horror stories about the Nitto R888 in the rain
