Drove my GT back from collection today for 200 miles on new tyres in normal and wet modes and no slipping issues :like:

I really want to get a set of these asap, am I being daft by not seeing the size I need for the rears on the Michelin Website?

there is no 275/40 ZR19, the fronts are listed fine.

I had the same problem. I think it’s because they have been out of stock

Try https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/michelin-pilot-sport-4-s-performance-road-tyre-2002894/

That’s where mine are coming from. Best price i could find AND you can use the current Michelin cashback offer for £40 off 2, or £100 off 4 tired

They are listed and they do make them - I have them fitted to mine. They do not have a ‘buy’ button next to them because they are out of stock. As I stated earlier it took me a long time to track down a set of MPS4S tyres but well worth the patience. Superb tyre and show up the Pirellis for what they are!

i am not having any luck finding these at all, it looks like i may have to go with Pilot Sport 3 or the Super Sport. If you had to choose from these what would you go for? I am so confused now!

Supposedly the PS4S are the ones to have, not much more than the PS3's. Call Ford and I think you'll find they can get you some fairly soon - I think they do them for around £250.

Mytyres.co.uk have both fronts (£227) and rears (£266)
Demon Tweeks have rears @ £246

I know that Demon Tweeks are expecting stock of the rears by the end of this week.

Took it easy on them today as it was minus 3, felt a slight slip and the car seemed light so I stuck it in snow mode and took it easy and no issues

You will notice a big difference a lot better than the Pirelli’s that’s for sure

Ordered them yesterday, I'm paying a little more as they are not in stock at the supplier in the Benelux until December, so the had to order in Germany... with half of a mm left on the PP Zero's I couldn't wait another month.

Looking forward to the feel of them though, at the shop they said they are even better in terms of grip and rain conditions than they are rated for!

The PS4S's grip well in wet and dry. But my sidewall popped very easily and they seem to hoover up nails. Also when simply motoring around they lacked a bit of road feel, I was not sensing the state of the road surface. My winter Nokians, that are fitted now, are less grippy in mild weather but I can understand the road surface better.

Perhaps it's just a motorcyclist thing.
Glad you said that. I thought the same about the lack of feel when I went from p zero to mps4s. Loads of grip but they feel like they have much higher (or less stiff) side walls. Quite a clinical effective feeling but I still find it hard to trust them and really lean on them round corners. Rosso corsa’s They are not! In the warm on a dry day I prefer the feel of p zero.

If the PS4s has a weak sidewall maybe I should be looking at other alternatives as access to our house is down a 300m farm track.

Run-flat sidewalls are tough as old boots, and it avoids the issues with not having a spare. Ride quality can be OK (latest BMWs are OK, Vettes are fine) but how well they'd work with suspension setup on a Mustang I don't know. I think modern run-flats are OK on regular rims, although I've never retro-fitted them to a car that didn't have them from the factory. They are a complete bitch to fit though (your fitter will hate you), and they tend to be a bit more expensive...and there's often limited choice. A quick Google showed run-flat P Zeros in GT sizes (although fronts were only W rated)...

It's time to have open wallet sugery and pull the trigger on 4 new Miches. Just wanted to check with people, are these definitely a good all-year round choice, as they are classed as a summer tyre (like the p zeros)?
