Michelin Cup 2 tire replacements

Since I will not be tracking my Mach 1 with the handling package I want to replace the Michelin Cup 2 tires with other more everyday driving friendly high performance summer tires. I want to continue using the wheels that came as stock with the handling package. I see that the only replacement tires shown on the major tires retailers websites for a Mach 1 with the handling package are the Michelin Pilot Sport PS4s with 305/30ZR 19 (F) and 315/30ZR 19 (R);the same size as the Cup 2s. I know that the PS4s are very good tires but very expensive. Has any one with Mach 1 w/handling package replaced their tires with something other than the PS4s while keeping the same wheels?

I personally sold my Cup 2's and bought replica HP wheels 19 X 10's so I can run a squared set-up. I went 305/30/19 squared so I can rotate and get more tire life. So far 5000 miles on the Cooper Zeon's and I have no complaints!

I also went with the Coopers also. Have a HP 2022 Mach 1 with the 305’s all the way around. 305’s are only .09” smaller then a 315. I also have no complaints. Met another gentleman with the same set up and I followed his advice.

I just put Conti ECS2 on my aftermarket wheels for my 350R...... 305 front, 325 rear. Tread widths are similar to a 295/305 setup in 4S. 4S run on the large side. This is for a 11 and 11.5 wheels setup as you ideally want your tread width to match or be less than the width of the wheel. There are tons of threads on this.

The crazy thing is the tread width on a 295 PS4S is 11 inches a 305 is 11.5 and a 315 is 11.7 and I forget 325. The 305 conti is 10.7 i believe and the 11.4 on the 325.

With tires things are not always what they seem....

Thanks for the response. How did you go about selling your Cup 2 tires as there is a very limited need for those size tires? I would like to sell my set as well. Only 200 miles.

Again.....use the search function on here...lol. I listed mine here in the classified section and on 2 or 3 Facebook MACh1 group pages. They were sold in 2 days. Lots of people looking for them.
