For anyone on the fence about buying a MGW shifter just do it!.
I was having a hard time when drag racing with the 2-3 shift, kept missing it about 25% of the time with the stock shifter... I purchased and installed the MGW shifter and haven't missed 1 shift sense....
Easy install and a Great product!

I've had mine for almost a month now, the shorter throws and positioning made me miss-shift into 2nd gear instead of going to 4th for the first few days....Driver mod was eventually fixed hahaha

highly recommend it...you can actually shift now and not feel like it's going to break. One of the best mods for the MT whether you track or for DD.

How's the NVH? I really can't decide which shifter to go with. It's killing me. The Hurst is so much cheaper too.

No More Noise than stock, I can feel a little vib in the shifter handle when my hand is on it. Kinda expected that as it is not bushed.

I think there is a reason i think nobody here has bought the hurst shifter, at least from what I know of. It seems like there quality design has significantly declined.

That's an interesting point. Their design is far different from both Barton and MGW.

I installed mine this last Thursday... It's really not that bad of an install, tedious as all get out but it isn't terrible, installed on back while car was on jack stands. The shifter itself, feels far more solid then the original shifter... The lateral throw is far less then stock, however, I don't feel a huge bit of difference in the front back throw. I've been told by someone who rarely drives my car that it was a huge difference, but I didn't really notice that much of a change. I think my biggest positive about the MGW is simply how solid it makes everything and since I will be running boost soon that is definitely a big necessity!
