Hey,

So the new GT has about 3,500 miles on it and for a little while now it's been making this metallic rattling noise, was wondering what you guys think.

I recorded a walkaround video of the car to try and pinpoint it, sounds like it may be coming from the exhaust system but i'm not sure. here's the link:

Thanks!

I honestly don't hear it. Everything sounds normal to me. Maybe the video doesn't capture the sound very well. If you hear it though it might be the heat shield rattling. If not maybe a bolt is loose somewhere along the exhaust system? Go to the dealer and have them check it out.

Thanks for listening! I'll go get it checked out, also, understandable, it's hard to hear from the video but inside the car it defiantly sounds like somethings up

I think I hear what you're talking about. Honestly it sounds like an idler pulley rattle or something, but I wouldn't expect that on such a low mile car.

Although I have heard of some people having compressor failures...

Not really sure, I do believe I hear what you're talking about though, I heard it when you put the camera in the engine bay.

There was a thread on here where quite a few GT owners had issues with the resonator making a rattling sound.

Another thing to check is the e-brake assembly. It's affixed to the driver's side trans tunnel and if it is loose, it will make a metallic rattle noise too. Only way to check is having car safely jacked up and getting under it.
