Oh okay. I wouldn't think there would any vibration. There should be less since it's lighter and a single piece. In excited to get mine now. Have you upgrade the axles yet?
Nope. I didn't want to do the driveshaft, but the noise forced my hand. I don't think there's any reason to do the axles, I have no plans beyond a supercharger, and that's still up in the air.
From what I hear the stock axles are pretty weak. People have snapped them on stock motor. I plan on going supercharged hopefully by 1st quarter of next year.
That's what I been hearing as well. I heard Ford makes really good axles. In still confused on which driveshaft. I been thinking of doing the carbon fiber DSS.

Thanks for heads up on your project, I honestly didn't think you'd go as far as alu driveshaft but I was wrong apparently. Now you got me interested in getting one for myself. And, is it really noticeable power wise that much on the stocky motor? I wonder if you could chime in a bit more on the car performance
Congrats and thanks a lot for the effort:cheers:
I wouldn't call it power per se. Shaft masters does claim an increase, but I'm a skeptic. For me it's throttle response because of the reduction in rotational mass. I guess I would describe it as a more direct line between the gas pedal and tires. My only expectation in doing this was the elimination of the drive line bounce noise. It's helped a lot, but it's still there.
I did notice a strange noise today coming from the rear of the car. I thought it had something to do with the driveshaft, but now I'm not convinced. I think it may just be something vibrating against something else. I won't be surprised if more, new and strange vibrations creep up. By doing this, I've removed quite a bit of drive line cushioning.
I'm having the same damn issue in my gtpp. Didn't have it until I installed my steeda tri ax and dss aluminum driveshaft. It's annoying. Called dss and they said to rotate the trans connection 180 degrees. Didn't work. Don't know if hit the driveshaft or shifter. About to scrap both.
