Yup, you’re absolutely right.

I think I’m conditioned to believe bad news about the strategic decisions of Ford’s executives - even if they’re stupid and come on April Fools day.

Maybe that’s true, but this was published on April 2nd and, instead of having the typical quirky humor of an April Fools story, this is a gut punch to anyone who wants the V8 to have a future and references demoralized Ford employees. For what it’s worth, I couldn’t find the Fox News report referenced in the story.

Top of the article says it was published 16 hrs ago, which would have been April 1st.

The last sentance might be a clue.
