Good Morning fellow MD'ers.

I just moved to MD (Frederick) and so far, a little disappointed. I was in NOVA and had several great car meet every weekend with 100s of cars.
Hagerstown Sat. night is only decent one.
Frederick is once a month! That is crazy. I went to one by the amusement park just East off 70, but was small, not many cars, and not the friendliest.

Any other good car meet ups within 20-30 miles?

what's so hard about driving an hour down US15 to hang out with us civilized peoples? :)
Much of the 606/US-50 crowd heads to Leesburg for the 9am shindig.

Of course, I still go to Cars and Cigars and been to Sunday Leesburg once in a while. I wonder if the school board will start a meetup. CRT - Car Racing Theory. lol
There is a car meet up behind my house, but ugh. once a month!

There really isn’t anything in anything in Frederick (I live in Frederick as well) when it comes to meets. There’s a mustang meet/club that meets now and again but it’s a lot of basically stock s550’s with some new edges and s197’s sprinkled in. I usually head up to NOVA as previously mentioned

Thanks. I found a couple more meet ups online down 70 East.
went to Frederick golden gears last night. It was average.
Again, I do enjoy the Hagerstown one, but a bit of a hike.

I live in the Rockville area. I like the Church of the Holy Donut car meet on Sunday mornings over in Burtonsville.

Frederick Mustangs had their Mustang show today, and it was a real good time. The people organizing are very friendly and enthusiastic, and the venue, a field next to the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Station, looks to allow a lot of room for growth.

I like the Frederick area in general. I imagine its a bit less expensive than the DC area, too. I may look into relocating in a few years.

Anyway, several hundred cars. A dyno, a food truck (barbeque, right?) a couple of sponsors. It was much more relaxed and a lot less of a circus than the Maple Grove show in Pennsylvania that's been on hold for two years now - but I do like that show, too and have gone every year it was held since 2012.

Nice people. Nice day, nice cars.

@DRB I was at that event. Builds across all years and unique cars. Dyno set-up was a nice touch as well (I was one of the participants). Food was great and everyone I interacted with was very friendly; staff was fantastic as well! Venue was easy to navigate and if it wasn't for the heat, would've been a perfect day.

Went in with low expectations and came away pleasantly surprised. Would not hesitate to attend in the future.

Thanks! What time is Sundays?

I went to the mustang show the weekend before and only 3 of us. A great disappointment. I guess they postponed it and was nothing on the site. No rain. Ended up at adventure park yesterday, but 25$ to go in.

oh, and I called and emailed with no response.

Burtonsville usually really gets under way around 8 AM. A few cars start rolling up any time after 6:30 AM. It's done at 11.

i know the shows in Hag are done but i was there a few times. im usually the only one now with either the orange 5.0 or the orange Boss. 2022 cruise-ins in Hag will start May 7 (i think) so keep an eye out.
i used to go to shows all the time in the DMV area but now with 2 kids, the Hag cruise is the only thing i make now....
will catch up with each other next year maybe.

Thanks! I do go to H-town a few times a year. A small hike. It does seem to be a little different/older crowd. I like to see the classics, but I love the high end Ford GT, new Vetts, and Mclaren.

Went to Jimmy Cone's on Saturday and was not too bad, but parking was rough. Again, lots of classic cars and older gentlemen talking about retirement.

that's every sunday in Fairfax, across the street from the big courthouse. 1 of 1 Vipers, Lambo, Ferrari, various eclectic britsh and Porsche, Audi, etc , some rust bucket jeeps, kit cars, corvettes, and a couple of Mustangs slumming it big time.

My type of cars! Have not been to Fairfax meetup. I do miss Katie's! That was fun. Heading to Cali in the spring and hope to find a couple of big car meetups.
