I’m installing the McLeod stainless clutch line upgrade on my 2015 gt. I lost the small c clip that connects the plastic 90 degree elbow to the transmission. Anyone know where I can buy another one of those clips or the entire elbow?

They're available from McLeod and Ford at absurd prices for a $0.02 clip. There's nothing special about it, it's a generic retaining spring clip and my local Volkswagon dealer had the same clip for a more reasonable price. Sorry I don't have a part numbers handy but a good internet search should lead you in the right direction.

keep looking it is there unless you were doing this in outer space.
Man, I've lost a really tiny c-clip (watch part) in carpet, too stainless for a magnet, vacuumed the area, dumped the contents on the garage floor and found it. Keep looking, you'll find it!

One trick is to use an old sock and put it over the discharge end of the shop vac hose to collect whatever you are looking for. Then you don't have to sort through all the grease and crap from the last ten years that are in the tank. Nylons work great and you can sneak it back into your wife's panty hose draw. If you get caught, I don't know you.

I just got good news! Calimer just sent an email that something good is heading my way. My new stage two transmission is on the way. I ordered it on the 10th of March. So, it will only be a three-week lead time. I am so excited to be able to get this project done.

Update: I couldn’t find that clip anywhere in my workspace so I ended up purchasing another clip. The McLeod etc. Options were $11.25 plus shipping in some cases. However, the Volkswagen dealership had one next day their part number is 7M0721431 for that specific clip. It was half the price at around $6. Unfortunately, after all this, I can’t get the line to stop leaking now. It just leaks from the bottom fitting connected to the transmission. I’ll track that down and figure out why but I’m on the correct path to fixing it so I thank you all for the responses. I really do appreciate the tips and tricks.

Is the bleeder on the Mcleod fitting of any real benefit? Ford calls that fitting a "peak torque limiter" because they have some type of restriction that limits fluid rate for smooth clutch engagements. Did you notice any orifice or other type of restriction on the OEM elbow compared to the McLeod fitting? Please let us know of any noticeable difference in bleeding, does it still take 100+ pumps to get normal pedal feel/clutch disengagement plus any difference in clutch engagement without the restrictor? (Not a factor during most street use but better for instant engagements during "spirited" driving or track use?) Thanks.

The installation does not require the extra McLeod fitting according to the manual. I am still using the stock elbow which is where it seems to leak from ironically 😂😂. I’m unsure if it was a requirement to have the McLeod fitting for the stainless steel line they provided however, everything seems to fit much like the other stainless line options. I would assume you don’t need it. I can confirm however, that using a rubber stopper on the reservoir and pulling 15-20lbs of vacuum using a hand pump, reduces the amount of pumping VASTLY. So much so that I drew vacuum the first time and within 5 pumps it was immediately stiffer but began leaking and letting out vacuum because of the leak. The pedal did firm up almost immediately though.

Update: I have successfully installed the line with no leaks and it shifts. I’m very happy with the new firmer feel. Now I have to track down another problem. Once I reach over 5500 rpm or am spiritedly driving the car; the clutch pedal loses pressure and will not engage to shift. That was the original problem I was attempting to solve with the McLeod stainless line. Unfortunately, it seems to be a different issue 😂😂
