The issue is that sound is subjective. It's going to sound different to everyone. I hated my MBRP for the same reason, it sounded like garbage at WOT. I went with a Magnaflow Street and it's actually slightly too tame for me. Hoping to snag a local deal on a Corsa Extreme.

I am assuming you have seen that Corsa Extreme that is for sale currently in the classifieds? He is looking for a local Rhode Island buyer.

I have the mbrp race, my only issue with it is that it's not loud enough... good thing I didn't go with the street version I guess.

The MBRP Street seems to be starting to sound a bit better not that the pipes are starting to get coated with carbon. Less than 50 miles on it. I hope it gets better because the day of install I was ready to sell it to another Mustang owner.

Well shit, now I am back to square one again. I had pretty much sold myself on the MBRP street. After that video, eeesh. That system does not sound like that on most other videos though.

I am thinking Steeda axle back and a H/X pipe of some sort. Just hate to cut my factory exhaust.

The factory exhaust is crap. The welds are bad. If I were to keep my factory exhaust I would pull it and have an exhaust shop reweld it.

Get the race.... I'm telling you!! Its amazing in person. Lil drone in 6th gear at mph. I'm not there often enough for it to be an issue.

No question the MBRP Street changes a lot with mileage. Mine with 1,000+ miles on it doesn't sound at all like it did the day I installed it. Still a bit of rasp at WOT, but mostly smooth and mean. All that part-throttle popping is gone. I was ready to pull it back off the day I installed it, but I like it now.

I agree with ya. At WOT the rasp is obnoxious it sounds like a big exhaust leak. Up to 4000 rpm sounds great. I am going to look at resonators to absorb some of the rasp. It is so raspy that it is embarrassing. :frusty:

I really like mine. I have a blower so I don't know if that changes the sound at all. I do have some rasp but so did my Borlas on my Mach 1 I think it had more. I have the street version and I think it's perfect

I have the Roush blower and it does not matter. If you were turbo now that would make a difference.
