I know, I know. I really should have bought one, I let my wife dicate so she could drive and now she has her own car. At the time.it was our only car.

Might be crazy talk but let's just say if I wanted to swap in a manual transmission how hard is it and cost wise what am I looking at. I know the previous generation had a swap done in a magazine.

Prohibitedly expensive. It would be cheaper to trade your car in and get a manual.

Keep the auto and put a Whipple supercharger on it and you will love it again!
Swapping to a manual might not be that much cheaper.

Swapping to a manual will probably be the same cost lol.

I hate to be a downer but I think it will end up costing you at least $1k for a used transmission in questionable condition. This isn't counting the $100s in pedals, sensors, clutch, flywheel, and possible computer work. I really prefer the DIY approach to things but I honestly believe it will cost less and function better to just trade the car. And that $1K transmission would be the 11-14 version and my understanding is that there were improvements for 2015 that you wouldn't get.

I mean one reason is I would like to auto-x the car. Most competitive auto-x cars are manual.

I was the 1st to swap from auto to manual in an '05 GT. Your best bet is to find a guy like the previous poster to go the other way. You will need to do the trans, cooler and lines, engine/tranny wiring harness, PCM, pedal box, shifter, flywheel, clutch package and I would suggest buying a wiring diagram manual and studying it for a while like I did. I bought a used tranny off of Justin Burcham and just sold my other stuff from the auto. The newer '15 cars I'm sure will have some differences in what is required to swap than my '05, but it's very much doable at a low cost especially with a donor car that needs your parts for their swap.
