i think people that complain about MT clunking noises have not driven too many different MTs. or have driven MTs in cars that cost way more than a car that starts at 24k

You call fords quality shitty but like gm. Thats the best part.
My GMs never had this issue. So I fail to see what's funny.

If it's the first thing you noticed on your test drive as stated above why did you buy it?
I've been wanting a mustang for a few years and let my emotions get the best of me. I wanted it, I was there, and the wife said get it. I don't regret my purchase but I am not pleased with the clunking.

As I have stated I've owned about 17 manual transmission cars ranging from $1300 to $45000. NONE of them clunked like the mustang does. Like I said it was the very first thing I noticed about the car and even my mom made a comment about the clunk the very first time I took her for a ride. The mustang may start at 24k but mine had a 43K sticker price. So yes I expect better from a car that is 40K. I'm sorry you guys don't and chock it up to "Its a cheap car/mustang."

Keep making excuses for Ford's shitty quality. I'll just spend my money elsewhere in the future.
Seriously?

You are the second guy I recall saying something like this.

You are really not going to buy another ford because of this thud?

You are going to completely ignore all that is right with this car (and there is a lot) and how it is pretty much unheard of to get this kind of performance (and a great interior to boot) for this kind of money - all because the transmission makes a noise you deem 'unnormal'?

Correct! There are other cars out there and I'm not brand loyal. The mustang is a great car but for the price it should not be clunky. This is my opinion and money so I'll take it where I choose.

What trouble has the mustang given you so far?

It makes a noise you heard on the test drive and that is considered normal. You still chose to buy the car. You don't like the thud (and honestly, I don't like it either), but you can hardly consider that giving you trouble.

Again, I don't disagree that the thud is annoying. It is not about brand loyalty, it is about perspective - please tell me of this 'other' car that offers the mustang's looks, interior, performance (both straight line and track prowess) at a similar price and that is absolutely issue free.

I hope you find this mythical car.

Yeah im a fanboy. I was a master tech at ford and have two friends that work at chevy dealers. One as a master tech one as not. We swap stories. So yeah, ill laugh at the kid that takes his mommy for test drives. You arent a credible source. You must have so much experience at your young age!

Lol. Bringing the argument to personal attacks, who is the young one again? I have plenty of my own experience and it is my own experience that matters to me.

John, I'm siding with you on this one. The 2015 mustang has been an obvious success for ford with 70% increase in sales over previous year, with numbers like those ford has swayed other buyers than just ford loyalist. You would think ford would want to address any complaints and put their best foot forward to keep those customers coming back. If this was my one and only experience with ford I assure you I wouldn't buy another one. I have owned 5 fords the last 2 have both given me issues while still under warranty.

Its not personal attack. Its an observation showing how young you are. You arent a crediable source. Bottom line. so you, youre the young one.

I'd be embarrassed to tell my age after that also.
