Making the active exhaust slightly louder

The stock resonator afaik is not at all a straight through...

I guess we have different interpretations of "straight through." If you look through the inlet of a stock resonator, you can clearly see straight through to the outlet. Of course, there are perforations in the piping to mix up the exhaust and tone it down. I was just curious how much different an aftermarket resonated midpipe would be. Please let us know how you like it.

The valves are on the muflers AFAIK, the stock active exhaust mufflers sound really good.

The stock resonator afaik is not at all a straight through... my hope is that this midpipe will get rid of some of the rasp, but still be a bit louder than the stocker. In reviews, people have said it was a little louder than the stocker and removed all the rasp.

WOT with this hpipe sounds good from inside car... but outside it sounds like stuff isnt hooked up right, or like I'm driving around with literally cat back straight pipe exhaust.

The stock resonator is a straight through design with serrations in the pipe and probably a glass packing around it to absorb noise - much like a turbo muffler. when you look through it, you can see straight out the opposite end of it.

Heard my buddies new X-pipe today, no rasp at all I was surprised. Sounded great, just a bit too loud for me even in quiet. So I guess it does matter which brand. I'm staying stock or MF resonated X.

Has anyone installed the Magnaflow resonated X yet? I’m thinking about going this route but I don’t want too much noise in quiet mode. Thx

I don't hear any rasp with my Steeda X pipe and active exhaust.

I've had raspy cars before. This exhaust setup is not one of them.
