It may be pre-production. However I briefly spoke with someone associated with the 2015 at Faurecia, the compnay doing alot of the interior panels. They had mention alot of problems with the 2015 interior which forced them to do alot changes. For example portions of the instrument panel are shot with MuCell, and many more portions of the IP and other panels where supposed to be shot in MuCell, but due to these issues a more traditional method was used. The primary advantage to shooting Mucell is accuracy, structure, and, weigh loss...

Maybe in future iterations they well be able to change that.

Still really needing to see this in person, to get an idea of how light or dark Magnetic is. One photo shows it looking lighter than Sterling Grey....another shows it closer to Alloy Grey....confusing. Guess there is nothing like putting your own eyes on it and so I guess I'll just have to wait to see it to make my own final judgement. I'm hoping I'll see it as something close to the darker Alloy Grey from a few years ago.

To be honest, Magnetic looks exactly the same as SG to me. Under direct sunlight, Magnetic and SG lighten up similarly and away from direct sunlight, they darken up similarly as well. I guess it's like you say, your judgement will be made once you see it in person.

They are very close. I saw a truck in Magnetic and car in Sterling Grey next to each other at my local dealer. Magnetic is a hair darker, a little more grey and doesn't have as strong of a brownish undertone.

Having seen both in person (I have a sterling grey 2010), this is my impression as well, although I don't perceive a brownish undertone. The metallic sparkle looked a little more "dense" in Magnetic to me.

This is my hope! That Magnetic means that...much more metallic in the paint:headbang:

I have an 07 in Alloy Grey...ordered it that way and absolutely love it. I know I'm in the minority, as Alloy was not very popular and was only a 2 year color. I also have a 2013 F 150 in Sterling Grey....which was not quite Alloy, but as close as I could get...and yes, I really like the Greys!

So, all these comments are great and give me hope that I'm really going to like Magnetic, when I finally get the chance to see it in person.

This is the car I ordered except as the 6-speed Ecoboost performance package. Same colors though inside and out. Nice to see photos of it.

Exactly correct. I too saw the brownish undertone but it was very subtle. Lots of metallic and depth. I think I have a picture from an F-250 I saw. I'll dig it up and post it.

Welcome to the Magnetic club! You should be OK on the color change. When I previously did this on a Mustang order, no change in the schedule.
