There is almost ZERO chance these are the real numbers. The site these pics are from is basically the Chinese equivalent of Edmunds.com.It's probably 426bhp and 529Nm (aka 390lb-ft, see link below). If that's the case, there's a 6bhp peak increase. If that is the case, then I'm assuming that all of the improvements have been made to broaden the overall powerband and make the mill more tractable. Peak power is only a single statistic.
Agreed.I still don't believe it though. It's too small of a gain. Wait for a real announcement.http://www.unitconversion.org/energy/newton-meters-to-foot-pounds-conversion.html

You realize that the previous model GT made 420HP and 390lb-ft right? These numbers would imply almost no change was made to the peak power, despite a much touted laundry list of performance upgrades that have been made to the motor. Thanks for that, my Chinese is rusty in the mornin'....
Thats an aggresive fuel map and intake/manifold away from a Boss 302 now though...
Ha you don't have to convince me, I think its more too man. But I feel there's a little truth in everything. Maybe its numbers to the wheels like the Terminator Cobra. Anyway, I hate for this thread to get derailed too much. Let's just wait and see what Ford announces.

Noticed that too and agree... hopefully Ford have taken note of that issue as well and already have a solution identified for production.Anyone else concerned about the bubling of the center console? The same thing was happening on the silver GT PP that they had at Knotts Berry Farm and the Petersen Museum Mustang Madness. Hope they solve the issue with the final materials.
Not at all. There's no fathomable way that Ford would let something as glaring as that slip past QC for production models.Anyone else concerned about the bubling of the center console? I completely agree, but it's surprising that they would let so many of the pre-production run the circuit like that. Not at all. There's no fathomable way that Ford would let something as glaring as that slip past QC for production models.
It's not 426HP. It's 426PS...which converts to 420HP. So just as the Nm converted to exactly the old torque figure, this converts to exactly the old HP figure. So essentially, just like everyone else, they don't know what the new output will be so they are using the old figures. It's probably 426bhp and 529Nm (aka 390lb-ft, see link below). Ah yeah, you're right. Good catch. Crisis averted... ;)It's not 426HP. It's 426PS...which converts to 420HP. Just FYI, there is a thread for guesses right over here: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php/guess-2015-5-1043.htmlMy guess would be 445-452 HP.
