Can anyone confirm if the MF Axle backs drone much?

We had the competition axle back on our car with our resonator delete and there was some drone. Not bad but it was present. I wonder if the resonator delete may have contributed to it.

you shouldn't get drone out of just about any axleback if you keep the resonator in place.

That's basically what I'm running. I don't have the actual MF axleback, I bought the MF Mufflers from Amazon and had them welded on. Drone was so bad with the H pipe I put the resonator back in.

From personal experience the competition mufflers have always been louder than the street ones.

gonna be close keeping the resonator on, less chance of drone with the resonator in though

depends on how prone you are to drone on which way to go, i prefer a full catback myself

I was the same way. Could not make my mind up, all over the place between MBRP and Magnaflow street cat backs. Finally chose the MF catbacks. Sounds great, but it took some time getting use to hearing the exhaust in the car.
Just today I was on speaker phone in the car and my brother on the other end was complementing on how great it sounded over the phone line.

There's still very little in 6th, but it's negligible. Also I'm on 3.31 gears so anyone with a higher gearing probably wouldn't have any drone in 6th on the factory res

I have the magnaflow competition on my gt with factory cats. Its just right for me. NO drone either.

Cat-back or Axle-back? I've got the cat-back and there's a LOT of drone. Now I'm not complaining, just making a statement. I *love* the sound of that bad-boy. I've gotten more positive feedback from people than any other system I've had on any other car.
