What's everobes opinion? Can't really mod this car way I want because 10 year warranty. I know full cat back would respondo better to mods later but at this point just looking for sound. Thoughts? TIA

I considered it but decided to go with the Magnaflow Catback instead. The reason is because for the axleback, you have to cut the factory pipes. With the catback, it simply unclamp the factory catback and slide it out. The Magnaflow catback then bolts in very easily. I kept my stock catback so I can easily slide it back in if necessary.

I highly doubt a dealer would try to void a warranty over a cat-back as it's a pretty common and popular mod for any car. If they tried to hustle you over it, I'd just go to a different dealer.

I wasn't really thinking warranty as much as if I sold the car. Some people just really want it stock.

Ebpony, upgrading your cars catback will not void or affect your warranty, so feel free to choose the option that best fits your style and budget. If you have any questions about our catback or axleback systems, please let us know!

I cut off the stock mufflers and welded on Magna Flow 14" oval mufflers. It barely raised the volume above stock. I next cut out the resonator and replaced with a piece of straight pipe and Y. This is IMHO the perfect exhaust for a daily driver. At idle there is a nice little burble, noticeable but not loud enough for the neighbors to take notice. At constant cruising speeds it is no louder than stock and there are no resonances that cause drone. At WOT you really hear the exhaust and it is deep and very smooth sounding.

Also, the two mufflers, piece of straight and the Y cost me about $150 and I got a pair of stainless tips off Amazon for about $30. I have a welder and lift in my garage and it took me about 2 hours to do this so plan on about 2 hours labor at the muffler shop. Much cheaper than buying an axle back kit.

I'd go with the cat-back. With the axle-back, you're going to have to cut the exhaust. If you want to return it to stock, e.g. maintenance or resale, you'll have to have the factory exhaust welded back on whereas you could just bolt/unbolt the factory/aftermarket cat-backs.

What Juben said cutting is harder to go back to stock. Go cat-back. I would add, screw that restrictive resonator. Plus with MF you wont get any drone.
