So with all the issues with my car I needed up finding a mod friendly dealership and having them look at my car for me. They ended up changing my maf out saying that it was reading 145kpa now it's reading at 152. what does this all mean?? lol the car feels noticeably more powerful. I just don't understand these terms.

Sea level is 101kpa

7000 ft is 79 kpa

I think someone is mistaken.
I took all that info out I think the tech had it backwards. But I still don't really understand any of it. Don't really understand if tuners make the maf read differently for tuning purposes. My car does feel better but it was just changed this afternoon so I know it's still learning.

if it was reading incorrectly then it was not registering the correct pressure for the computer to gauge the air flow, kpa ,pa,mpa, gpa are all measurements for pressure I believe that are to each other as standard is to metric.

Well I'm gonna try and take it back up to my tuner to see what he says hopefully it's been reading wrong this whole time and that's where my hp went. Thanks for the replies!!

the maf measures air flow but a lot of them have a built in barometric pressure sensor built in (as well as the intake air temp sensor, etc).....maybe you have a bad maf.

That's what I'm hoping! Car lost a lot of power after I let a friend drive it and it he put it through a fence. The dealership thinks the maf must have taken some damage in the accident and was reading off of what it's supposed to.
