Good move. I wish I didn’t live here. My dad lives near
Houston and his plates are like 70 bucks a year, and no state income tax. Hopefully will be moving to Texas in the next year or so myself for work. Once we don’t get eaten alive in taxes, maybe we’ll add a few more mustangs to the collection too.
I live in texas. While we don't have a state income tax, property taxes here are through the roof. I have a 2400 square foot home with a pool and I pay $8,000 a year in property tax. It is insane.

Well let me help you feel a little better about your 8K taxes. I have a home just outside of Chicago in a county called Cook. We call it Crook County. House is 2800 sq ft on a 8,000 sq ft lot and taxes are 14K per year. Oh and we pay 4.75% income tax as well. So I envy your situation

Colorado is a beast too. State tax, property taxes are good though. 400k house cost me $2100. Registration on a car is brutal. My wife’s car, $690 each year, a 2019 Hyundai Tucson. The mustang is going to be up toward $2700 a year but decrease with value.

Hold on a minute. The mustang registration is $2700 a year????? It’s about time to start the revolution if I’m reading that correctly

Yes, around that. Ill let you know for sure. It’s based on the value of the car, as if that makes sense. As the value decreases it goes down. I have a 2013 Honda 4 door civic that costs me $160 a year. In Texas everything is like $70.
This is why I might do it in Montana via an LLC, very common.

Whats worse, in 5 years the government collect $6 billion off marijuana. It’s cash only because of the federal rules, imagine how much is missing off the top.
