Hi there! I recently purchased a FJG Mach 1 and I love the exterior of the car but I think the basic wheels fall a bit short visually. I’d like to get a design in a shade that pops, as I’ve found many of the intricate designs on the black wheels are lost in the dark color. I was considering designs that come in shades like graphite and a burnished silver, but recently I came across some designs I like in a more unorthodox shade: bronze. I initially had never considered going bronze but when I saw images of some of the bronze designs on other cars I thought the wheels looked really striking. So my question is: Would any of these bronze wheels look good on a fighter jet grey-colored Mach 1 or am I committing blasphemy by even considering going this route? I haven’t seen a fighter jet grey and bronze wheel combo so I thought I’d ask for some honest opinions from people who know and love this car. I’ve included a pic of the Mach 1 as well as some of the bronze wheels I was considering and would love some feedback on whether you think this would look cool…or if I’m about to turn a cool car into an abomination. You don’t want to be the actress remembered for wearing the ugliest dress to the Oscars because nobody had the balls to tell her she looked ridiculous. I’ve also included other designs in colors I was considering (silver, graphite, etc.). Someone suggested powder coating the wheels in orange to match the orange accents on the car and that was an intriguing concept but again—not sure if that’s a bit too much. I included a pic of red wheels to show the effect (so just picture that style in orange). I know some of the wheel specifications may be off because right now I’m just trying to focus on narrowing things down to a certain/style color. I love the car and want to add fun details that make it special so any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It’s all about personal preference as mentioned above. I think the stock mags leave a lot to be desired but they are neutral and fit in. Personally I’m very anal about color coordination so that’s what matters to me within reason. Hell I’m going to do red under lights on mine just for those times I want to be flashy. Enjoy it!

Could get the HP wheels and powder coat bronze if you want a different but similar look.

Here are SVE's version of the M1 HP Wheel, flow formed and the fronts are 1/2" narrower and don't need the wheel flares to keep pebbles off the fenders. They come in 3 colors too.

Everyone likes what they like and you have some great choices. I have those stock on my Mach 1 and for me, I think they are the most classic looking Mach 1 wheels of the current generation. IMHO, the other styles say GT350 or PP GT more than Mach 1 . Since inception five spoke wheels have pretty much dominated all Mach 1’s.

For me the M1 HP wheels look amazing. I’d have nothing else on an M1. Ford nailed it. The base wheel is the same as 22 cs and bullit ok but not nearly as clean.

I'm with you. I am not crazy about the stocker M1 wheels. It is the only thing on the car (IMO) that looks budget. Also, I can't stand black wheels. They are so over done. Perhaps brushed Torque Thruster would have looked better.

Personally I think graphite, satin titanium or brushed aluminum would be the safe and sexy route, but bronze could really be unique. Orange or red screams "look at me...I need attention.". Again, in my opinion...since you asked.

Good luck, but usually wheels make the most difference in personalization. I think you'll love whatever you choose.

Great looking car whatever the shoes!

Who are we to tell you what you should (or your car) wear?
Why should you care about what other people think of your tastes?
It’s your car, your life, do whatever you want

I agree that the orange may be too flashy and that the bronze may add a bit of pop without being too obnoxious. I think I’m leaning toward going that route. ☺
