When members ordered their 2015 cars (before they were available on the lots), did any of the dealers do better than x-plan price OTD? I've talked to 7-10 dealers about 2016 prices and no one will budge. I know there are no big dealers like Koons around here but I thought I would be able to at least do a few hundred under invoice OTD? I may just wait until the beginning of next year anyways, as even if I ordered by Aug. probably wouldn't get it until early- mid October. Any thoughts or referrals would be helpful.

Good Luck, no one on this forum understands the NE market. The cars are limited up here. There are probably dealers in TX and GA that sell more Mustangs than all the Dealers in the NE states LOL. Sentry did mine for X-Plan but I think I was the only one. It may have changed but if they only get a handful of cars and plenty of people to buy them you won't get a deal. Last year all the dealers were tripping over each other to give away '14's. The Ford extended inventory search is your friend. If you're ordering you might have a chance, unless you find one that's been sitting on the lot and they are tired of looking at it.

Call Blake at Flood Ford in RI or Joe the GM. I got an awesome price OTD with an ESP. They will eat into their hold back if you're a serious buyer. Not sure on 16s and 15 inventory is getting slim but I'm there Thursday for service and will give them a heads up if you would like.

I found Mark at Danvers Ford to be very cooperative when I ordered my EB. I wasn't going to play any games nor did he.

I priced 3 dealers in NH.
Autofair Manchester - worst price and not friendly to deal with
Londonderry - not bad price, but a little over invoice
Irwin Laconia - best deal and no hassle, bit under invoice OTD

Thanks for the replies. I finally got some decent offers. Hope to be around $300-400 below invoice, including doc. fees but before any rebates at time of delivery. Just REALLY hope there will be that $500 at the beginning. When the '15 MY was first out, was the $500 cash back available?

$500 Black Friday then it turned into something else for December. Pretty sure $500 is constant across the board. EAA had an additional rebate of $750 at the time.

I did some extended inventory searches and found York Ford to be discounting Mustangs at or below X-Plan. They might work with you.

Tasca had Mustangs from two previous model years last year. I don't know what they do but they like sitting on inventory.

Chambers may deal as well as Sentry. I have people to talk to at Sentry.

Thanks Tim. Not looking at '15's, ordering to my specs. I've tried Sentry and they won't budge from x-plan. Chambers in Westborough doesn't have a clue. They keep telling me "there is no pricing available on 2016 models" Sent an offer to Chambers in Braintree, waiting on reply. Franklin Ford offered $600 below invoice, not including doc. fees ($329) but before rebates. Sent that offer to Imperial Ford to see what they will offer.

Wow Franklin, that's a good deal. Dealer fees make me laugh. There is a GM dealer that charges $495. I love x-plan and the $100 limit.

This is what the bottom of the invoice should look like. If it looks different they made it. I was handed an invoice for a Challenger from Imperial and it didn't look exactly right, it may have been legit but it looked like they made their own.

Thanks Tim.
Even though Imperial has the better offer by $30, they just left a sour note with me with the way they offered it. They said that they are getting tired of going back and forth with me and that this "it". I don't understand what is wrong with going back and forth with counter offers? I told them that I was even getting tired of it and why they didn't give me the "it" price to begin with.

I sent the counter offer of Imperial's offer ($700) back to Franklin Ford they said that their offer ($600 + lower doc. fee than Imperial) was their fairest offer and they weren't going back and forth anymore.

What are your thoughts? Would you consider $2650 off MSRP on my spec'd '16 a good/fair deal?
MSRP--$39,340 / X-Plan--$37,044 (+100 fee) / Invoice--$36,961 / Dealer offer--$36,361 + $329 doc. fees

P.S.--Offers don't include any rebates applicable at delivery or TTL.

Ordered the car today! Thanks to forum member Terminated! I believe I got a great deal and he has been extremely helpful and understanding with me. This is the first new car I have ordered to my specs. Now, it's the wait....:frusty:

Got mine from Jannell in Hanover. They don't carry a big inventory but they have a guy that seems to know some one at every dealer in the North East and can always get a trade.

They located the exact car I wanted in upper state NY and went and got the car. Sold it to me for $1000 under invoice (with the x-plan $100 doc fee) and gave me $2200 more than my next best offer for my 13 Focus ST trade. I have bought 3 cars (one ordered and two traded for) from them now and have felt good about the deal all three times.
