Questions on the M82 in the 2019's... Is it the same in both the GT and EB? Have there been any problems with it since the shift fork thing in some of the 18's? I ask because I'm currently lemon-lawing a Challenger and thinking of getting another Mustang but the lawyer handling my case flat out told me that they are having a lot of cases come through on Mustangs related to transmissions. I had a 18 F150 with the 10 speed and only kept it a few months because it shifted so poorly so I really don't want the 10 speed. I'm gun shy at this point so I'd like to know what problems people are having if any.

I broke a mt82 years ago on my 2011 mustang, had a f150 with the 6 speed and that was fine without paddles, but the 10 speed without using the paddles seems horrible to me in most cases it would downshift multiple times when rolling into the throttle etc.

I went 10 speed but I just paddle shift nearly 100% of the time now and I like it alot. You could try paddle shifting the 10 speed.

If you want a manual car get a used gt350 imo. It has a better transmission from what ive heard, its a tremec. Not sure if the gt350s have the rev match feature though like the new 2019 mt82 GT's.

My 2018 GT with the 10R80 has been fantastic. Very fast shifts both up and down. Never hunts for the correct gear. Sport+ and Track mode are awesome. Shifts smoothly from park to reverse and drive. Best transmission I have ever driven.
