Calling out OKC #1 spot after axle back install.
There is a reason why the quickest 2011+ mustangs do NOT have mt-82s.

If you baby it, you should be fine.

You are right, people who drive autos only own them because they can't drive.

My 2011 with 6M lasted 33k miles at 585 whp no issues at all. Factory oil even. I did not run stickies.

As far as M vs A? I have both, though this is my first auto stang. I'll be waiting for you at the next light. People who watch won't be asking which tranny we had while someone is chest thumping they drive a manual and still got beat.

My 2011 Has 60k with the Whipple on it @ 9lbs of boost with no issuses. To be fair, a lot of the miles on the car are from driving to different shows across the country to let people try our shifter, BUT it has been on the track with DR's and has been driven HARD to test our our shifter. If you can, go to an NMRA race, there are a lot of guys running the MT82 on some really fast cars with no problems.

He didn't say anything of the sort. And as a response to your original post (which implies the mt-82 can't handle supercharging), he is right.

I can only speak from my first 6000K miles on my 2015. But it has a Procharger, makes 600RWHP, and on 20in Drag Radials. Aside from the clutch which should be a given, the transmission itself has held 5000RPM clutch dumps(on a really well prepped surface), and power shifts galore. So far so good. Im not going to vouch and say that they will handle 800ft-lbs of torque, but the guys who have blowers making 500-600rwhp should be fine...

6a is a better transmission for 1/4 mile performance and reliability.
I sold my 2012 because the trans wasn't worth its weight in ish. I had just picked up a dss driveshaft for the heap, instaled it and sold the car the next day. I was done dumping money trying to fix a transmission was would not be able to hold the power I had planned for it.
They make an awesome daily transmission, and sound awesome shifting. but I would not install a supercharger on a car with a 6m.

It will explode on contact right?

You sold a car because of a "inferior" trans?

Real car guy right there!

My turbo car had a c4. Drove through it in 3rd, couldn't take the power, hmmm sell the car? Nope. Put a powerglide in it. Problem solved.

Mt82 can't take the power? Sell the car? Nope. Buy a tko.

My 69 Z28 has a transplanted th350, it's not holding up anymore.... Hmmmm sell it? Nope bought a hurst 6 speed conversion kit.
