Tried searching for a thread on the M2 but couldn't find one in the versus section. This was just posted today. Isn't good for the GT. Oh well it does say at the end it is still a good value for the money.

Weighs less & better tranny = win for the M2.

Honestly I don't think they were negative on the Mustang at all. Being lighter and having near instant shifts help a lot.

X2, reminds of the comparsion vid between the GT and latest Jag, Jag destroyed the S550 in the drag race, but overall the GT got a pretty good review.

13.4 1/4 mile for the Stang?

What was the 60 ft, 2.3? Fail for the driver. M2 with the 12.7 DCT tranny is about right.

Line up a manual M2 with a manual GT and it will be much closer.

It's was also down horsepower and torque. Is that what they are rated for overseas?

Not surprised. M2 weighs like 400lbs less. And yes the GT is down 25hp in euro spec due to the RHD configuration. Manual vs manual and US spec for the GT and it'd be a bit closer but I still think the M2 takes it.

They certainly should have matched up trannys, thrown a GT350 and a m235/m240 in the mix.

I was wondering about that as well, is it detuned or do they have crappy gas over there?

Why do people keep testing Automatics VS manuals?

Manual vs. manual the M2 still would have won. Drivers race.

With the selling power of the Mustang internationally, EVO totally took a free bribe to help keep the Germans look good.

A base GT vs a loaded M2? It's not even in the same price category, 12k pounds buys a lot of upgrades and mods. It doesn't even have a performance pack on the GT

Manual vs a dual clutch? Unless you're proficient in shifting (obviously not this guy), you'll never perform as well as an auto in upshifts. Let alone twin clutch.

The BMW fanboys are all over this video praising their German overlords for a god vehicle; however, I doubt any M2 owner will ever be able to pull the same stunt off in real life.

^^^^I have the same sentiments as you re this comparison. The difference is price , that's the tie-breaker. M2 is roughly 55/56k. A better comparison test would be against a 50-plus thousand Mustang =GT350 imho.

People see what they want to see. I see a very poorly driven manual transmission car on all season tires taking on a Dual clutch automatic. If someone were ask me to pick a winner before that race. I'd have picked the bimmer!

How did you figure out all seasons ? It's a European Mustang, those come with summer P-Zeros.... But I agree, shifting is done at little relaxed pace...
