Hate to bring back such an old thread.
But I would have to agree with everyone else, a topmount turbo system dumps way to much heat into the engine bay. Not to mention how much ground clearance the plumbing on that kit kills. Seems like a well built kit. Just not the best design.
For anyone that has the cash to shell out fathouse fabrication here in Indianapolis makes a mighty fine custom low mount twin turbo system. 100% fabricated for your car and tuned by them. Fathouse is the shop that fabricated SBD's prototype kit(the one that inexplicably never made its way to market:shrug:) Its at the top of my wishlist when I'm done with school. Its not cheap, but your paying for craftsmanship and longevity:thumbsup:. Feels like I'm making a sales pitch. But i just really like this kit. lol.

LPF kit. Seems to be the only kit that is real besides the Hellion.

....but consider this includes installation and tuning which must be worth at least $2-3k
if you are having a shop install and tune an off the shelf kit like a Hellion you are going to be close to $11k,so really only a difference of $2k-$3k for a custom kit does not seem bad .
No waiting on parts to be delivered .Just drop off your car and pick up when it's done.

Now if I going to be spending $19k on a Shelby kit , it better include a new built bottom end !

If Travis (BW) could get his kits out the door id use that over LPF. Reusing the stock manifold is silly. Upgraded manifolds or bust.
Thats what I thought. But Ford did a very very good exhaust header on our Mustang. Plus if you look these LPF cars are kicking ass on the streets. LPF is taking their customers money and DELIVERING HP/TQ. Everybody has this dream about Travis. Get over Travis. He seems to be taking customers money $$$ and not delivering. Show us more than one kit he has put on the street? (Looking for crickets emoticon)

My thoughts exactly olaosunt. If you factor in the installation and tune the cost starts to even itself out. Not to mention EVERYTHING in this kit is top shelf. AND the turbos are oiled, the way it should be in my opinion. I know a lot of people are using the oiless turbos these days but I'm still not convinced.
As for Chris I'm sure he hit a wall which stopped the turbo kit from market(I'm assuming it was manifold casting costs). Trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. None the less, i agree, we will never see that kit for retail sale.

Lmao, yeah and guys are making 900+RWHP with those stock manifolds with the LPF kit and so is Hellion as they too use the stock units. Plus LPF cars running 9.20's down to 9 teens at over 152 MPH with those stock manifolds so for me it wasn't an issue BUT to some it matters as well.

I am on the forum now. I also only use email for contact I don't use the pone as I am in the shop most of the time. when I receive a email I respond in a fairly short time frame.
I also tuning with the kits as most every kit by me has been tuned by me with great results and nearly every s550 with the kit runs high to low 9s.
I have to give this guy credit. He does not answer the phone but kits are getting into customers hands. Unlike his competitor that does not answer the phone nor get kits into customers hands. LPF has my support.

Best advertising hands down is seeing the customers cars running good numbers and hearing their feedback. Don't think I've heard of one dissatisfied lpf customer.

Lpf has got that one nailed.
