I purchased a new 2019 Bullitt in early June. Between 32 and 37 miles an hour I get a loud resonance through the car. It doesn't matter what gear I'm in, but it is always between that speed range. Had anyone else encountered this?

Have you figured out the cause? My Bullitt does the same and it doesn't have to be in gear. If I'm in neutral slowing down at that mph also makes the sound. Taking it to the dealer on the 22nd..! Also feel like I get a lot of road noise on highway speeds even with magneride... Had a 2017 gt pp and it seemed to be better...?

Almost sounds like a driveshaft or differential issue considering it's there in neutral.

Magneride has nothing to do with road noise :). But yes, these cars are freaking noisy. I was hoping it was less noisy, but I honestly didn't expect it to be quieter. You can tell it's a cheaply made car:angel:. Our only hope, without having to gut the freaking car and install noise-absorbing material, is to install quieter tires. I was looking at the new Pilot A/S4s yesterday, but stupid Michelin doesn't make neither of our sizes. And the A/S3s were much noisier than I expected, when I installed them on my ex-M3 V8, so no thanks. Don't think the '+' version is significantly better in that regard. Don't know which of the available ultra-high-performance A/S tires would be the quietest. Check out TireRack for the options. If anybody has such a recommendation (better than the Michelins... which are the quietest of the summer tires), please let us know :). Thank you.

I have the same issue on my 2019 Black Bullitt, it's a loud like "Resonating Chopping" sound is the best I can describe it. Right around those same speeds, i.e. 30-40ish MPH. And your right, even in neutral.

Funny thing is, it only occurs when it's cold. As soon as she warms up a bit, it goes away (mostly).

Btw I DID take it to the dealership, they said "Nothing is Wrong", but I think when they test drove her it was already warmed up a bit. I'm tempted to take it back and advise them to let it sit overnight first.

Keep us updated, it's obviously something common enough?

Yeah mine occurs even when hot or cold. And I get a lot of vibrations when going 85+. I never had these issues on a 2017 gt pp. It sucks cuz I got rid of it for the Bullitt. I like to leave things stock and I figured the Bullitt out the factory is a great package. I hope the dealership here doesn't say it's nothing. If not I guess im going to a performance shop and mod it? What's the extra NVH gonna hurt when it's already annoying..! I have that appointment on the 22nd so I'm crossing my fingers they can fix this..!

I just bought a 2015 EB a month ago, started to hear a similar sound coming from the rear passenger side wheel about a week ago. It was definitely louder when accelerating, and worse around 40-50 mph. It almost sounds like a humming and simultaneous chirping. I took it to my local dealership and turns out the differential was shot. Currently in the shop being replaced. Try another dealer in the area, I know Ford has varied customer service based on location

Traded in a 2020 gt pp1 for a bullitt and I’m having the same issue. Sound and vibration coming off at around 35-40. Did anyone find out a fix for this issue?

If the sound or feeling is dependent upon speed AND/OR pedal input (acceleration or lifting off the pedal), then it's driveshaft or rear issue.

The stock driveshaft is 2 piece, it has a center support bearing (carrier bearing). Those can go bad based on a variety of reasons.

The rear differential or pinion bearing can also go bad prematurely if the rear differential gears or pinion bearing preload were not setup properly from the factory (or whomever supplied the rear diff to Ford).

Both the driveshaft and the rear differential can exhibit such noises when under load (throttling) or when off load (lifting off pedal or putting drivetrain into neutral at speed) depending on how bad the parts are worn.

If when you hear the noise and put the trans into N to "free wheel", does the noise subside? If the answer is yes, it's because you removed the load from the driveshaft and rear diff. If the noise gets worse at certain RPM/Speed when in gear and when throttling, again there's load and the parts are at a point where that load is binding.

If it was an original factory wheel hub bearing going bad (very common in S550 platform), the noise would be present at any speed and would also be more pronounced when leaning onto that hub when going into a turn or coming out of a curve. It wouldn't fluctuate in sound, feeling or be rpm/speed dependent.

This thread here is the largest drivetrain vibe thread on this site and it has a ton of good tech info and DIY fixes:

Granted it's many pages long BUT for those out of warranty, the tech and DIY info is beneficial.

Thanks brother,
It only does it at a specific speed, under load or any gear or even in neutral. So far its just annoying that i traded a new car for a used car (loaded with option) with an annoying sound.
The car feels great, it only has 3k miles, but no issues. Ill just keep driving it and hope that no problems rise.
I see that its a common noise, so maybe that's just the Bullitt.

I have a 2019 Mustang GT CS that had the same issue. Vibration at slow speed when turning. Had Ford change the rear end fluid oil it completly stopped the vibration. I made sure also included the rear end additive it required. Hope this helps.
